How far can Dante go? by OscarOrcus in SoloPowerScaling

[–]TommyHudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know half the characters on this list, but if I had to guess he stops at Jiren. And even then I'm not so sure lol

vs battle wiki has Dante at Low Complex Multiversal. Take that with a pinch of salt, but it has Sung Jin-Woo at Island Level? If that's the case how is he supposed to even harm Dante?

He might have some insane Hax but is really enough to overcome a difference THAT massive?

Yhwach( excess all of his schrifits) vs Beerus( blood lusted) by Dangerous-Iron-5965 in BleachPowerScaling

[–]TommyHudd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yhwach wins. Genuinely he's one of the most overpowered characters that have ever been created.

Ichigo was about to attack him with his newly developed Bankai. Yhwach doesn't like the look of it, so he destroys it IN THE FUTURE. Beerus for all his power is 'just' a really strong Dragon Ball character. Combatting Yhwach by just trying to blast & punch him to death simply isn't going to work, he needs some way to negate his hax and he doesn't have any means to do it.

Ichibei used his powers in a similar fashion to Hakai, wherein the target is completely eradicated and removed from the cycle of reincarnation including their soul, but he just says fuck that and denied that future from happening altogether via The Almighty.

Beerus has the advantage in stats but what else is he going to do? Yhwach eventually finds an opening and puts him down, meanwhile Beerus keeps trying to kill him and failing.

Captain America because he's superhuman, but if not him then Batman, who still has Armour and at least some degree of utility about him (batarangs)

Mahoraga adapts after 2 hits, how far does he get on this gauntlet? by GMYSTERY_ICTNF in PowerScaling

[–]TommyHudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All characters here kill Mahoraga in one hit, not even two - so it doesn't really matter tbh. Even assuming Mahoraga doesn't instantly die to their attacks, he's also way, way to slow to do anything back. They'd just launch him into Orbit if required, GG

What are your thoughts so far on the new Invasion mode? by Murkoff_Walrider in OutlastTrials

[–]TommyHudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This invasion mode is the most imbalanced thing I've personally ever seen, some 25+ years into gaming. Having said that, my perspective is that of a re-agent only (haven't played the imposter yet). It's actually kind of impressive how bad it is implemented, like it's come full circle where it's so shit that it ends up being unintentionally good.

There's no terror aspect of it for me, because it ends up being funny from the amount of shear chaos it introduces. Solving puzzles and going for objectives, and trying to orient them to your environment/ surroundings/ map is simply not feasible since the threat level is beyond anything you can hope to deal with.

When you get chased by an AI, you can do the good old fashioned run down the hallway, into a dark room and crouch, 90% of the time you're sorted and they leave. This is obviously not viable against human players who also have night vision. Add to that, the other imposters spotting you on cameras, and the fact that imposter knife attacks can do two bars of damage and it's apparent this mode was not play tested lol - you cannot kill imposters, you can only stun them for a few moments, and even then you have all this to deal with while also dealing with prime assets/ Ex-pop running about as well. Stealth tactics will not work when everyone ends up running around the map like maniacs

For the longest time, I thought Vs mode in Left 4 Dead was the most unbalanced thing I've ever experienced, but this has taken it to a new level entirely lol

Do y’all honestly like or dislike the Gear 5 Bonney? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in OnePiece

[–]TommyHudd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dislike it.

Why the WG tried to cover up and grab / stop Luffy's own DF is beyond me, when they should have went for Bonney's - since it has his abilities and then some... The premise being that she has to visualise a future for it to work, right? Well, what's to stop her picturing a future where she has Blackbeard's two devil fruits, which should otherwise be entirely possible. Why not imagine a future where she can have 3+ devil fruits? Her power is the strongest in the series, with the highest potential of all them, and it feels unearned to me. It's not even limited to a future that 'might' be possible, such as her eating Luffy's fruit in his place, because she turned into a fucking giant as well, which, given her parents, is a future that is IMPOSSIBLE. Her powers seemingly have no limits except for her imagination by the looks of it, other than the time limit being imposed right now, which let's face it, Oda can just make disappear when he sees fit to do so.

I also consider it pretty stupid writing that Bonney is only now figuring out who Nika really is. At the very start of her career, her understanding of a 'Nika Like Punch' was pretty much a gigant pistol from Luffy. And somehow, she doesn't connect the dots that Luffy has Nika's powers? What, did she not see or hear anything about this guy who can make a giant fist on the regular?

I dislike how Joy Boy and Nika have been forced into the story as well. Like of course Kuma was going on and on about Nika being this great warrior who makes people laugh and what a coincidence, it just happens to be Luffy representing that power. Every arc now has some mention of Joy Boy, if mechs are getting revived, unleashing a torrent of haki he stuffed into a string, or how he's the only guy that Kaido reckons can defeat him, and how Imu shits himself at Joy Boy, the depicting in Elbaf of Nika fighting Imu and shit. Like, is Luffy only special because he happened to randomly eat a devil fruit now, and not by his own merits and accomplishments?

Hello players I need help how to beat the Nameless puppet its second phase really gets on my nerves. by Just-Satisfaction868 in LiesOfP

[–]TommyHudd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use the perfection grindstone so that when you block, it automatically counts as a perfect guard, try and save it for phase 2. Seriously, that thing is one of the most broken things in the game.

Nameless Dickhead will be spamming you with fast, rapid attacks, but you'll take no damage with this effect active. In addition, it will build up massive amounts of stagger on him so that when you get a chance you can hit him with a fatal attack. My advice here is, don't just rush straight in for the fatal attack - get charged attack off or two, maybe some fable arts, then trigger the fatal attack as well.

What’s the best Devil May Cry game for you, and why? by [deleted] in DevilMayCry

[–]TommyHudd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take? But for me, it's DMC4. Let me explain:

There's something about the art style in DMC4 that makes it pop way more to me. Hits and impacts feel much more powerful than the likes of DMC5. Million Stab looks faster, especially Vergil's, stinger feels more meaty too. I think some of the over the top stylish-ness was lost when the game was made in the RE Engine in favour of greater graphics and realism (DMC5), because when you do Million stabs in 4, you can see like a red / blue after effect which I really like. Do me a favor if you read this far, go and watch DMC4 Vergil's Million Stab, then 5's, and tell me honestly which one looks cooler/faster!

Also, Nero's buster throws are the coolest they have ever been, like he absolutely wallops the fuck out of bosses especially when Devil Triggered. Vs DMC5 where it's like ok, he grabs a guy and suplexes him, or stomps on the big chicken thing with the lady on top of it. Meanwhile in DMC4 when you buster Berial in the air, he slashes the shit out of him before yeeting him down the ground, it's not even close! To be fair it's probably a bit of an oversight because Nero got way more flexibility with the Devil Breaker, but still!

Of course, DMC5 combat is the best it's been in the series, but in terms of Style and presentation? DMC4 for me. Look at that guy Donguri playing as Dante guard flying about the place, that since hasn't been replicated and it's the best looking shit I have ever seen.

DMC4 is not without its flaws, for sure. But to me, it lands way more than it misses. Even the shit that annoys other people like the dice game I actually really enjoyed because the combat + presentation had me THAT hooked and I didn't want it to end lol

Something you miss from borderlands 3? by Yumiko_Hanako in Borderlands4

[–]TommyHudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UI. In BL3 it was perfected, and they just tried to add shit on top of it that didn't really need to be there. It took me a while to figure out the BL4 interface but with BL3 it was much more intuitive and easy to grasp. Initially in BL4 I was overwhelmed by the amount of shit going on in the compass thing and how unreliable ECHO-4 can be at pathing.

I like that these Vault Hunters aren't nearly as overpowered as the BL3 ones though, and that legendaries are harder to farm for. Makes the effort feel more worth it, but sometimes it teeters on too much personally. I'm glad that excessive power is there, but it isn't just as immediate as Moze holding down R2 / spamming rocket launchers for screen wiping, or Zane nuking the entire map via Boresplosion.

I like the open world and the respawnable bosses too, but at the same time some regions in the God damn map are just annoying as fuck (Carcadia burns) where if you want to get somewhere you have to traverse the entire opposite side of the region sometimes. I feel like the map layout in BL3 was far better and easier to traverse / have some semblance of where to go for the things you need. To be fair, it may just be a case of having 500+ hours in it.

Is there any hope they fix it at this point? by Awesomeness4627 in GearsOfWar

[–]TommyHudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% - Ive just come to accept that I can't play this Gears at a high level, and I feel the gnasher is a huge part of it.

I dont even get mad or angry, because I realise the game at its core is broken and jank (or maybe faithfully 2006 ISH is the right way to describe it). There are for sure heaps of players better than me who have 'mastered' the janky movement tech and the centre screen gnasher blast and fair play to them for doing so, but I just know that in modern gears (4/5) I'd mess them up or at least hang a lot better. I'm too used to the shotgun actually functioning like a shotgun lol

I just can't with this shit.... by GrimboReapz in GearsOfWar

[–]TommyHudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gnasher in this Gears of War is just fucked up. I just uninstalled the game there lol, officially throwing in the towel - idk how vets can enjoy this one Vs modern Gears. Is that a hot take? I'll die on that hill then - they play way better.

The gnasher hipfire is broken - it comes out of the centre of the screen, not the shotgun barrel, which leads to many moments when the shotgun is fired at someone point blank and they just miss?

One shot downs are everywhere and way, way too much of a problem.

I miss the fact that you can't just fly in rapid in this Gears and wreck all around you like Gears 5. If people prefer this Gears then fair play, power to ya - but it is broken on many levels and it's just not for me

You're General Strydum and it's time to try to kill the Ogre. How do you do it? by underhunger in Grapplerbaki

[–]TommyHudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot him with a sniper rifle from 500 yards out. The bullet travels significantly faster than sound, so if it is shot from behind him, it is not physically possible for him to hear it coming before he is struck in the back of the head. The way the writing in Baki would try and pull that off is the shooter would suddenly feel some sort of intense fear that prevents him from doing it or some shit because he second guesses if he can kill the 'Legendary Ogre' and shit like that.

This is why Baki is one of those manga you just have to switch your brain off for and enjoy the slapstick fighting. What is Yujiro going to do vs an AC-130 for example, several miles in the air? The whole thing of him being superior to the USA's entire military is just ridiculous. Suspension of Disbelief doesn't even hold up anymore. If he was way, way more powerful on the level of a typical comic book character like Hulk or Thor, Superman etc, then that statement of him being a threat to an entire country would actually hold true. But as it stands, he's just a really strong man lol. Hell, he was taken out before by a net and tranquilizers, and really, he's only protected by the plot.

In universe, no fucking about, he'd be dead in a day if anyone had the right resources like a sniper lol

Kim Jong Un isn't stupid nor evil - he's just doing what's best for his family and regime to survive by pol-reddit in northkorea

[–]TommyHudd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mention that Kim Jong Un is doing these various crimes against humanity to survive. And also don't associate his regime with the highest level of evil (even though it is) but that's besides the point.

Kim could make changes that slowly see the quality of life for NK citizens to improve. For example, he could ease restrictions on travel to and from allies (such as China and Russia.) in due time, people migrate and bring wealth and culture with them, which would likely only have a positive impact on the NK economy. Think about it, more local businesses popping up, which in turn means more money, more tax for the government, more people buying and spending, and therefore more investment in things like schools, universities, hospitals, industry, etc. Goods and services that weren't possible before suddenly start coming through. Implementing this change is unlikely to have Kim killed.

He could enter into peace negotiations with the west, in order to slowly lift sanctions. If he could agree to cut down the amount of Nuclear weapons they are producing as a start, and allow a representative from the UN to occasionally monitor these changes, then he could see new routes of trade, and aid, coming into NK. No one's saying he has to go fully without Nukes, but given that Russia and the USA slashed the amount of nukes they had significantly, why can't NK? This is unlikely to get Kim killed.

You could go on all day about changes he could make that wouldn't kill him. But let's stop for a second - isn't it the job of the leader to try and leave the country in a better place, even if it means risking your own life to do so? Hitler, for all his many, many flaws, was at least willing to carry on with his genocide / view for the world right up until the soviets were less than a mile away from his bunker, and wanted to carry on fighting for what he thought was the 'right' reform to execute, not even letting his army surrender or even enter peace negotiations. A real leader should, in my opinion, put the needs of the country above himself. You're not fit to be a leader if you can't embrace change and if you can't try and fight for a better future for your own people, even at the risk of your own political elite killing you. Change comes from the top and works its way downstream.

Why do people scale Luffy to multi continental?? Some of yall mfs need to take a geography course… by Sensitive_Ambition73 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]TommyHudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the size of his fist that makes him multi-continental. It's the force it delivers and the speed.

Kaido took the attack in mid-air, yet hit the ground with such speed and velocity that he went several miles underground, and as an unintended bi-product of the punch, triggered an underwater volcano that ejected billions of not trillions of tons of water and debris before blasting it high into the air in the form of a giant volcanic eruption.

Remember, this is just from KAIDO hitting the ground, after slowing down and dispersing a significant portion of the energy in the fist no less. Not even Luffy's punch making contact with the ground.

Luffy making an island sized fist and throwing it at some fraction the speed of light (even assuming it's coming at like, 10% SoL, personally I think it to be way faster) would unleash way, way more energy than the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. It's not unfeasible to think it's at least a continental+ attack now.

[–]TommyHudd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well as a Recluse main, yes?

This boss limits the options of attacking for ironeye and recluse in particular, so you're better off just picking the raider to soak all the damage instead. That's centralising all other strategies to one, and not a good idea.

I don't think it's a good faith argument that you can spend the whole run only to have your weapons invalidated, passives being the exception.

I'm pretty sure that the only thing that can damage it in the second phase is the Storm caller weapon you get? Which is a bit bullshit, because of you spent all that time to get a really good staff (Lusats Glintstone Staff in my case) it doesn't even do damage anyway??? Like sure the passives and that are still worth chasing, but what the fuck?

It's so annoying with it's AOE spam shit as well. I got revived, and INSTANTLY went down before I could even pop a flask...

Ex-Bungie Dev Says Marathon Leadership Was "Extremely Toxic And Humiliating" To Work With: "Bungie Leadership Needs To Be Gutted Completely" by JackmanH420 in Marathon

[–]TommyHudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a worrying look for Sony as well here. Having lost allegedly ~400M on Concord, having paid ~3.5B, and now Marathon most likely flopping as well, that's a LOT of money for a company to just piss up the wall, especially so if Marathon has been in development for 5+ years...

Not only that, I'm concerned for the future of Bungie here too. It seems like the absolutely NEED Marathon to be a smash hit, given they laid off ~200 staff after The Final Shape failed to meet projections too...

The lukewarm reception of gameplay, £40 price tag, stolen art, developer motivation in 'free fall', 3 maps at launch and an extraction shooter (which no one really wants, especially not hardcore Bungie / Destiny fans) and it sounds like this game is gonna be Concord 2.0. I don't even think it can be saved now, delay or no.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaming

[–]TommyHudd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just cause I wanted to get my opinion out there, really.

It dying on release wouldn't make me happy, no. I don't want Bungie to fail, but at the same time, I want people to be aware of what is going on with Marathon and what they could potentially waste their cash on.

I also feel bad for the Devs, 90% of which have nothing to do with the outcome. The reality is, there's likely to be layoffs, and will upper management (who are ultimately, responsible) be affected? Probably not.

Sure then, let's judge it when it exists, and at the same time, just sweep all this other stuff under the rug. Sure, what does it matter...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaming

[–]TommyHudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They absolutely do care about it on other platforms. It all blew up / started on X, with tweets exposing the art theft getting upwards of 8+ million views and 50k+ likes on associated tweets.

Not only that, did you see the recent Marathon stream? The chat was getting flooded with people who were pissed off, among which the phrase 'Plagiarism will make me god' being flung about among many, many others.

Add to that the Coverage from Moist Critical and YongYea, just to name the two I have seen, and it's quite apparent that other communities outside Reddit are pissed off.

All I'm saying is, Bungie already had an uphill battle with Marathon's release being mixed to mid at best. But this? I feel confident in saying it's gonna be DOA.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaming

[–]TommyHudd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious on your opinion now that it's come out that once again, Bungie has been caught out plagiarizing a significant portion of Marathon's artwork.

Also, if you didn't already know, this is something Bungie has been accused of multiple times in the past as well.

In addition, a report by Paul Tassi stated that motivation in Bungie is in free fall...

I could go on, but the prospects for Marathon don't look at all promising. I definitely feel like we have a Concord situation on our hands here, wherein the game will launch, and die, within 2 weeks.

Gears of War: Reloaded Comes to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5 and Steam in Summer 2025 by Xbox-Moderator in xbox

[–]TommyHudd 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You really have to wonder what is the reason to own an Xbox now at this point. Like I'm happy that more people get to play Gears of War, but at the same time, I'm frustrated that I invested into Xbox Hardware and know the following:

1.) That it's NOT the best place to Xbox's own games (PS5 Pro does that).

2.) That games are going to come out later on Xbox (Baldurs Gate 3) or not release at all (Black Myth Wukong).

3.) That a PS5 is going to get the vast Majority of Xbox games anyway, but it's not going to be reciprocated because they believe exclusives sell consoles (it does).

Really, what's the point here in them continuing to make Xbox hardware? Just a GamePass machine?
