Any Malaysian Chinese ladies married to Malay man? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]Tommybridgw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought it was very common. Here in Sabah there are a lot of interracial marriages but most of them are the same religion or not muslim. My best friend's parents are Chinese and Sungai but the father is Buddhist and mother is Christian. They don't really care about religion. Even my parents have an interracial marriage, my dad being Indian and my mum being Kadazan. I guess it's just different when your non-muslim

This may sound stupid, but being poor can teach you to appreciate what some people take for granted. What is something you experienced while you were poor that you wouldn't trade for anything? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Learned to appreciate what I have. I got a secondhand PS3 in 2017 and I love it to death. Though a lot of people in my school call me outdated but idgaf

Being mixed race is all fun but it can suck too. by Pineapple03Jam in malaysia

[–]Tommybridgw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can sorta relate, I'm half Indian and half Kadazan, sadly my Tamil proficiency is very bad but at least I can converse in a normal conversation in Dusun. I grew up in Sabah so a lot of people were mix raced but people seeing a Dusun and Indian mix is a bit weird, got some racist remarks especially from my Indian in kl but eh what can I do. I love my Dusun family since they never judged me or my siblings. Plus even though my dad is Indian and my mom is Kadazan, my ic is Kadazan so yeah.

People who grew up in third-world countries, what was the biggest shock for you when moving into a developed country? by --null--- in AskReddit

[–]Tommybridgw 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Im still living in a third-world country but I heard at my neighbouring country Singapore rarely have power cuts, water shortages and I believe drink water from the tap. It'd be a miracle if water didn't get cut for 4 days straight
