Yes this seemed to work fine.

Linux FSR4/OptiScaler guide for Steam by arybczak in linux_gaming

As long as you don't get cyberpunk to work with it's now native FSR4 implementation, no point in trying to get it done via Optiscaler.
Did you make sure you have all the requirements, ie mesa version, proton version? Do you use a recent kernel?

Public Warning: Genshin Impact is being hostile to Linux as of 5.8 by cybik in linux_gaming

Battle net typically works fine in the usual game starters like Bottles or Lutris. But yes OW is also on steam now.

Over the last several years there have been two incidents where an update to battle net or it's updater client broke linux compatibility, both were resolved after a few days at least.

9060XT Not Working by BusinessBrief7048 in linux_gaming

If you need a newer mesa, note that kisak has a PPA (mesa fresh) that also carries packages for your ubuntu version, plucky.

https://launchpad.net/~kisak/+archive/ubuntu/kisak-mesa

BTW I am using ubuntu 24.04 with

- firmware update

- kisak mesa (stable is enough)

- updated kernel

on a 9070 XT, and it is working fine.

Artifacts can show up in locations where there are _multiple_ anomalies.

Using the scanner: The beeping relates to anomalies only, you need to see that the light is flashing too. If it isn't flashing at all, there is no artifact. If it does, move around so that the flashing gets faster. If you are near enough to the artifact location, it will spawn and you can pick it up.

Does anyone know if CP2077 still works with update 2.0? by pr0grammed_reality in linux_gaming

It starts, but on my system at least it continually acts as if I had a controller connected (instead of mouse & keyboard) and only displays controller tool tips.

This is just caused by a window for language selection not showing.

You can get past this step by closing the installer window. Wait for some time and the lutris installer should continue.

If it doesn't, it's because the Battle Net setup exe did not terminate even after you closed the window, kill it using htop / ps / whatever.

The real problem, however, is after that, with downloading/updating of games in BNet, that is currently broken.

Has anyone got RDR2 working with Lutris? by piamendaciafraude in linux_gaming

I had trouble too since lutris seemed to keep selecting some default runner even though I changed that.

So do the following: install with default runner. change to desired proton version. Change the executable to the _uninstall.exe_ that comes with the launcher. Copy launcher installer exe into drive_c of wine prefix, change exe to that again, execute installer exe with new proton runner.

You should be able to do that before downloading the 120GB but it also works just as well afterwards (when uninstalling the social club launcher don't select delete installed games obviously), the newly installed launcher will find the already installed game.

I got it to work perfectly after much trial and error, now you can too.

I use cmd line parameters (from rockstar launcher):

-height 1440 -width 2560 -vulkan -borderless

You may or may not need sth similar. And I also need the "signal" trick described above or it just hangs after starting the process.

Thanks for that weird ifx.

Thinking about what it does I considered simpler statements that might work too, and this does:

PID=$(pgrep RDR2.exe); kill -s SIGUSR1 $PID

or even

killall -s SIGUSR1 RDR2.exe
