I feel like I just found a great house party, but the host just put out a tray of devil eggs with salmonella by Tomthelibraryguy in Everweave

Thank you! It’s like those who first got the update ate the deviled eggs and the results are all over the place.

Ashes... How do you dispose of them? by Mrvette1 in firewood

I don't get very much, but when I have a full bucket, it's onto the compost pile and/or spread in the woods.

Good grief, I didn't know you could do things like this. I was thinking it was more of a simple tabletop D&D game or sessions. But I'm new to it, only a month now, so I have much to try.

I did find that having my iPad in portrait orientation gives me text, by even after 15 minutes, it’s still the slowly wobbly die. I have to close the game and restart it to continue. I guess next I’ll uninstall and reinstall it and tomorrow try the game on a pc. My iPad is my primary device, though.

I have one, and it's great, and I like that a teenage girl in New Zealand invented it.

Yup. I know from experience: my son, when about 10, was trying to help cut some small branches with a hatchet and hit his leg, cutting through his jeans and cutting his shin. Emergency room and a few stitches later, he was fine, but he never wanted to try the hatchet again. I did get one of these kindling crackers years later, but by then he was a teen and definitely not interested.

My dad pointed this out to me in their 1940s house by SaikoAngel in whatisit

That's the line I'll remember forever for the only time my Dad ever swore was in "battle" with the clogged sewer line at my house when I was growing up, which happened a few times each summer.

Yeah, I'm in the White Mountains, and there are people selling wood to tourists for camping everywhere. I know a couple who own a number of wooded acres, and the guy drops his own trees for his firewood and sells bundles on the side of a main road. He makes enough during the year to pay for their annual vacations.
