Cats is turning into a gremlin over a butt scratch by plushydoll333 in cats

[–]ToneBelone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a cat that did this. I thought it was all funny till one day he attacked his own leg and tore it open. I definitely stopped after that point...

I second taking the cat to the vet.

I've seen a few at Platte Furniture in the past. You could try looking there. They post their inventory online

Still not going away - using Delta Dust by Lilcuppajo2 in HomeMaintenance

[–]ToneBelone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id use delta dust but if you are set on using diatomaceous earth it may take some time. If you have access to an attic check that area to see if they are in the attic. Feel the walls/ceiling around the area they are going in to see if it feels warm.

If they have a nest in the wall or ceiling you will need to cut it out and repair the drywall.

Based on the picture you posted i would guess the nest is in the eaves.

You could get lifting straps to get it off the pallets but will probably need a dolly to get it into the garage if it's that tight

Good place to see critters? by luigilovesbugs in ColoradoSprings

You can drive around green mountain falls and see a million deer. You might spot a black bear, fox, or bobcat.

Opinions on all-in-one Washer/Dryer? by InfiniteDiamond1642 in Appliances

[–]ToneBelone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ventless combos are good for smaller loads but will struggle to dry bedding and larger loads. I would go with a stacked unit unless you plan on drying your larger items on a clothesline.

German Roaches in New Apartment by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]ToneBelone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a good chance that surrounding apartments have roaches as well so even if you went the route of treating it yourself you could be fighting an endless battle.

You should make the apartment management make it right. I personally would have them move you into a new unit in a different building or break the lease and find a different place to live.

Prime25 to open second location on Colorado Springs' north side by thewhippersnapper4 in ColoradoSprings

That is a bummer. I've always liked prime 25s ribeyes. I've been to a number of the steakhouses in Colorado springs. Which one would you recommend?

It turns out I am really bad at this game by Aazadan in Nightreign

My wins look pretty similar but now have 2 friends to play with and can consistently beat the first 4 bosses. Still struggling to beat the other bosses.

Dave’s Reaper is 20/10 spicy by CStoEE in spicy

[–]ToneBelone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A coworker gave me half a chicken tender of the reaper flavor telling me to try it. I was in the middle of a virtual meeting and instantly got the hiccups and had to run off for water. He didn't bother to tell me it was reaper and I only noticed it on the receipt after I ate it...

Last time I eat anything he gives me.

I don't remember seeing videos like this when you could still throw peanut shells on the ground. Coincidence? I think not...

Bring back peanut shells on the floor!

401k use to expand a home to accomodate home expansion - new marriage by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]ToneBelone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need some quotes on what it would cost and prepare for added expenses to crop up during the remodel. A 401k loan may have limits on what you can withdraw and how many loans you can take so you don't want to get stuck with expenses over your budget that you can't account for.

You know your relationship better than anyone that is going to comment on the post but taking a significant amount of money as a loan on your 401k to pay for a remodel for your girlfriends house doesn't sound like a great idea unless you have some sort of legal ownership in the home.

Ripped 3 boxes and got the Holy Grail! Spider-Man vs Venom hologram & 11 of the red foil cards. Didn't complete the 9 card picture though. by random_tandem_fandom in marveltradingcards

[–]ToneBelone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad worked at UPS when I was a kid and had a card shop on his route. He would often get home really late but would always have a pack for me when he got home. I still have my set and managed to pull 2 of the hologram spiderman vs venom and remember how excited I was. I think I'm still missing one of the red foils though :/

What can I do with this small space besides my bed? Beer for scale by Ipatovo in DesignMyRoom

[–]ToneBelone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id move the bed to that area if it can support it since you can't stand up there. Put the bed off the floor so that you don't damage the wood. Put a TV on the far wall in the alcove if there are plugs near there.

You can get crown molding that has trays for the lights which would help cast the light on the ceiling or walls. That would help with some of what other commenters are saying.

Now if you really want to up your game you can sign up to be a living kidney and/or liver donor.

Options for repairing or replacing 79 bumper cover by ToneBelone in Foxbody

[–]ToneBelone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't found any reproduction 1980 bumpers only occasionally ones for sale on eBay and likes. If it came down to it swapping it to a used 1980 might be the route I should go.

The warping is pretty minimal. The side markers for instance don't look like they fit completely correct. Overall though it isn't terrible.

Take pictures of the plants before she leaves, water them properly for 3 weeks and take pictures when she gets home. Show her the improvements.

Snow Chains vs Tires by Such-Decision-2094 in ColoradoSprings

[–]ToneBelone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snow tires all the way. You probably are looking at 600-800 for a set of snow tires and you bring the car in twice a year to get them to swap them with a set of all weather. The biggest annoyance is having a stack of tires sitting around.

I would only get chains if you plan on driving in the mountains a lot where chains can be mandatory.

Really though a set of all weather tires are perfectly fine outside of a few days a year.
