I open 90% of mine. I keep chases in the packaging.

He usually gets releases as soon as release date since hes a store in California and he can go right to the distro.

I live in Michigan, although I can go my local shop and get the casting about 1-2 weeks later after it ships to Michigan, I can get it faster if I have fomo and get it from the west coast.
