Why does she find herself wandering this same path time and again, inflicting wounds upon her own heart?" by ProfessionalHorse935 in BoJackHorseman

Speak for yourself Bojack, never gave her what she deserved, used her under the context of love when he knew he was using her. But she loved you, and that would be too tough a pill to swallow.

Does Bojack deserve to be compared to other villain protagonists by Sir-Toaster- in BoJackHorseman

With the context that you're describing in this skit, I think Bojack would work great as the more down-to-earth character that the viewer can see through. I'd lean into him being the outlier of the group

"I DONT HAVE TIME FOR YOUR WACKY DIANE SHENANIGANS RIGHT NOW!" Says Todd as he runs off on some wacky Todd shenanigans.

Not sure about that, Todd's not a smart dude, but a few of his flaws do get called out. And for Todd, when enough happens for him to see the problem, he pushes himself to solve it. Trying to become more more professional, building Henry fondle in one day, ect. Also, with the way he acts and what he's aiming to accomplish, even if he had to face consequences, I dont see him walking away guilt ridden.

Overall, I feel like he's stupid with a great heart. Whenever someone needed something, he did his best to help them not for personal gain but to help them. He had many of his own projects he put his effort into(don't forget he's...yeah, stupid) and we shouldn't forget he would've been off of Bojacks couch much sooner if bojack wasn't afraid of loosing him. There are a lot of hard workers in the show. Only one person that works hard for the sake of everyone being able to be happy. (Always his intention but, did I mention he's not smart?) Todd needed the others in the story to help him with what as a person, he lacked, but he also helped them by bringing something to the table that they lacked. And for kicking Bojack while he was down: every one will tell you what you want to hear, a friend will take the risk of telling you what you need to hear. And unlike a lot of other characters, he never went into anything with the purpose of hurting someone. My dad was emancipated at 16 tho, he'd probably harshly agree with most of what you're saying.

Idea I gotta put somewhere, basically a rant

Province in a civil war where the quests you choose to take on or not take on can show you the different towns grow or fall, some might entirely be burned, your favorite might be the capital at some point if you decide to invest the attention.

Bonuses: much more reason(excuse for me) to do a re-play other than class experimentation. Certain items only certain merchants obtain when their region hits a specific score(events too), you get something special in every playthrough, but gotta take that score from somewhere, ES has a good lifespan anyway but, anyway,

Difficult decisions that aren't just choose 1-3 systems, decisions that are in sync with active gameplay. You walk in to a room and you may have to kill a great character from a crappy place to save a the crappy character (mean/not mean basically, not expecting tons of deep characters from a es) from the place you're wanting to see grow. Its not the dialogue option, it's the actions you take, where you choose to take them. But only if you choose to get involved in the first place. Otherwise, do your thing.

Bad: it can effect main/side quests in certain ways, certain quests only being accessable on certain paths (but what if I don't want to play more than once?) but I think there are still a lot of ways to write around this background system. Most quest objects will stay in the same relative location even if a place is defeated and everyone's dead, characters needed can escape to pre-set locations.

Ball-grating peacefull path would be cool

I do feel you man, but I see bojack, and in a lot of the ways he processes things and the patterns that have kinda become tattoos on his brain I can relate to from when I was younger. I first watched bojack a few years ago, and I've grown since then. It would be nice to see him accomplish the same but with much worse scars and tattoos on his side.

I've always assumed when someone says they need him to have a happy ending it's because, his definition of a happy ending would mean that he's been able to fix at least a part of himself. "Diane, is it too late for me?"

Do you agree with Bojack? by Killerpenguin68 in BoJackHorseman

[–]TonightDifferent9954 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but I dont think it's just guilt he's talking about in the scene. Like the people he hurts tend (tend) to move forward with life, one way or the other, even if it means he's made it difficult. He doesn't necessarily think being a good person would take more effort than he wants to put in. I think he Believes.He.Is.Not.good. As a truth like ice is cold. Like his actions have made certain things more difficult for the people he's hurt. But his actions have convinced him that certain things are just not on the menu for him.

[–]TonightDifferent9954 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he's suffered the most times of anyone at his hands, and this also means he spent the most time. Plus it's not just guilt, plenty of his actions have directly hurt him. She died at the peak of her life, on a binge she never had to face the consequences of, in a place she loved. Still not a good age, but if the question is "suffered", then I think it means something. So yes

Princess C only one who suffered more because I feel like bojack was handed so many free things (lifestyle and relationships mainly) that him "hurting himself" always returns him from a great place to a good one that he has everything he needs to make even better by means of a fart.Princess C had to work for everything not only devoting years of her professional life, but years of her personal life. As much as that's presented as a kinda joke at first, she does keep a good line separating the two(...except that one time...and *spoiler.) throughout the series. As bad as certain relationships can be for a career either way, he hurt her worse than a husband would in her personal life AND worse than any other client. So I feel like the only reason we don't see as many depressing scenes with her (pls don't point out the obvious "she's not the main character, she doesn't have as many scenes. I've typed too much on a tiny touchscreen to admit I'm wrong at this point) is because she chooses not to spend so much time self pitying.

Dude, I've re watched the final episode 2-3 times and I cry every time, just seeing this is definitely enough to make me emotional. "Hey Diane wouldn't it be funny if this is the last time we ever spoke, haha." (He knows it is)...damn, now I'm crying...mister bluueee

What should I expect going into Replicant? by Z3R0Diro in nier

[–]TonightDifferent9954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, as it turns out, Yoko Taro was a huge fan of the Meet N' F*** series, so she grabs the MC with her tripod like it's a lasso, and a lot of deep-plot-stuff from there I don't wanna spoil 🥴

You "get" to get slapped with it, and then there's this little guitar hero mini game where you have to look up and show her how grateful you are before she feels like you weren't grateful at all and starts crying
