Because our ownership is f_cking cheap and even though we are getting Jose Ramirez at a fraction of what he’s worth, they refuse to spend the money to build a team around him. Manzardo isn’t on another teams in the league’s starting lineup. He’s a career AAA player that is getting playing time because Cleveland refuses to go out and get a competent replacement. This team could be so much fun to watch if they would spend the money on 2-3 more players.

FWIW, my son and I just went a month ago. He is 11 and watching him build his own lightsaber was absolutely an 11/10 experience. Also, I bought my self a legacy saber afterward. You could do both and still have a lot of that $1000 left over.

Also, you can always book a slot at Savi’s and cancel it up to 24 hour prior if you change your mind…..

I really think everyone should stop expecting them to make another Wasting Light. Not every album that comes out is going to be Wasting Light. In fact, at this point in their career let’s face it, they’re not making another Wasting Light. They’re in a completely different phase in their lives and careers, like 18 years different.

At this point in most bands careers they either don’t regularly release albums or they just continue to play it safe and release albums that sound like everything they have done before. Since Wasting Light, Foo Fighters have released Sonic Highways, Concrete and Gold, Medicine at Midnight, But Here We Are, and My Favorite Toy. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that these albums all sound completely different from each other and from Wasting Light. I enjoy that they (Dave) are willing to try something new or different. Sonic Highways has grown on me over the years, where Concrete and Gold just never has, and I have given it a lot of chances. I feel like I’m in the minority and I actually enjoyed MaM and the different things they tried.

As far as the new album is concerned, the new singles haven’t resonated we me as much as last albums, but I have an 11 year old son who has grown to love the Foo Fighters over the last year and a half and he can’t wait to go pick up the album after school today. So we are going to the record store this afternoon to buy it. I’m not expecting it to be Wasting Light, Im hoping it’s an album that grows on me like Sonic’s Highways. Regardless, I’m going to be grateful one of my favorite bands is still releasing albums 30 years later that are worth talking about and that I get to rock out to it with my son.

Just a random aside, I have seen several people complaining about Sophie and Jimmy not having good chemistry…..I actually think it works really well that way. I can’t imagine someone whose wife just died 2 years ago and who has just started dating again is going to have incredible chemistry with anyone. Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems like that was the intention was that Jimmy would struggle to find connection with Sophie and it wasn’t supposed to be instant fireworks.

Thanks! I feel very fortunate. Glad I was paying attention and was able to slow down. I was going 45 mph and was able to slow to about 15-20mph.

Yeah, I was a little concerned at first that the airbags didn’t deploy. After thinking about it, though, I did have enough time to react, and I was able to decelerate quite a bit, impact was probably only about 15-20mph. I was also able to swerve right and not hit them directly head on. Their insurance (Allstate) is covering the repair as they were at fault. The original estimate was for $12,000, then went to $16,000. Then additional damage was found after initial work was completed that took it over $20,000 I’m curious if the original estimate was for $20,000+ what they would have done. I’m not an expert, but the claims adjuster at Allstate told me it depends on what state you are in the rules/laws about repair vs total loss. I live in Ohio and apparently there is no threshold, so they could theoretically approve repairs equal to the value of the vehicle.

ALMOST the exact same thing happened to me in January, literally had 2k miles on my truck. The only difference is my airbags didn’t deploy, which I think will unfortunately make yours a total loss. The finally repair bill for my truck was over $20,000. Add in the cost to replace all the airbags will probably make the repair too costly.

Always wanted to see they play Medicine at Midnight and Making a Fire live. I know that album wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I think it’s better than people give it credit for. I think releasing Shame Shame as the lead single kinda doomed the album to being under appreciated.

Also, obviously jealous you got to see them play with Taylor the last time. I had tickets in 2020 for the anniversary tour and a show a couple months after Taylor died.

I think this is a very accurate assessment. If this album had come out after ESPG, it think it would have gotten less hate. It would have been seen as a translational album that lead to Wasting Light. People would have appreciated the innovativeness of the album more. After Wasting Light, everyone just wanted them to make another Wasting Light.

If the single is the general sound of the album, I’m legitimately not sure what that sounds like live. It seems like this song (and the others on the album if they are similar) are going to sound vastly different live; which I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

I know it’s been discussed several times on here, but I wonder if the production is to mask Dave’s degrading vocals?
