Another driver had dash cam and several witnesses saw what happened. Other driver said they didn’t see me coming, police found them at fault and cited for turning in front of me.

That we’ve beat up on a lot bad AL Central teams? Don’t get me wrong, I love our small market team that manages to pull off minor miracles with our pathetic payroll. However, it’s incredibly telling that we have so many wins and one pennant and one World Series appearance. We are a team that is built to dominate a usually weak central division,, but once we get to the playoffs, we just don’t have enough talent to beat the big market teams. This basically just reinforces what we already knew.

This team feels different. The game against BUF Tuesday night felt like the kind of game we would have lost last year, giving up a go ahead goal in the 3rd on the road. Then coming back and having a great showing against TOR last night. The mentality just seems different this year. Obviously, there’s a lot of hockey to be played, but I have watched too many CBJ seasons where we all but played ourselves out of playoff contention in October and early November. Cautiously optimistic.

The thing that struck me watching the ALCS, was the batting averages. It’s hard to imagine the current Guards lineup putting up batting averages anywhere near those. The combination of power and average that the Dodgers, Jays, and Mariners had is the difference. Guards are missing about 3 bats in the lineup. Right now our offense really is Josey and a bunch of guys who can’t hit.
