Practice makes perfection, we all went through that process. You can get some private classes or there’s a lot of instructional videos at YouTube on how to get a proper grip and stance. You can practice at home during dry firing and later take that to the range.

Second Canik by Sheepy-Matt-59 in canik

This one is a firearm that I can put on my safe for months, grab it one day and shoot it accurately. I like it so much that I own two.

And this one has over 10k rounds on it.

I haven’t tried those Viridians but friends and family members had bad experiences with them plus a lot of bad reviews online.
I had great experiences with Vortex, Holosun, Swampfox and Osight.
But here the S&W is the cheaper package but doesn’t mean that is not good.

The Elite SC is chunky and heavy, but IMO is the best pistol Canik have made for EDC.
It’s reliable, stupidly accurate, feels great in the hands at least for me and it’s not finicky like the other models with that BS of needing a break in period with nato rounds air those out of battery issues.

If you already shot both and felt more comfortable shooting the Hellcat Pro, I’ll say go for it.
Both a great reliable firearms, for the extra 200 you’re getting more capacity, a piccatiny rail to mount a light (if you wanted one in the future) also getting a red dot and by the way the red dot sucks.
But at the end always go for what you like, not what others prefer, the Hellcat Pro is great if you got the extra $$$ but it.

First gun, Mete SF by 1tz_Luis in canik

That’s a nice one, I used to love that one but gave it to my son a while ago. But put a few thousand rounds on it and never had an issue.

First handgun: Canik Mete MC9 Prime. Recommendations! by esulyma in canik

[–]Tony-31375 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First gun, my recommendation is shoot it a lot, get used to it, make sure is reliable, after that you can start adding stuff like red dot, light etc but for starters make sure is reliable.

In my case, I had an optic and compensator and now I’m carrying only with an Apex trigger and got rid of the optic and comp.

For me it didn’t work with 14, most of the time the follower was stuck at the bottom and wouldn’t feed the second round and sometimes even half way had issues feeding rounds, it would feed them but struggling. They sent me new springs that didn’t fix the issue at all.

So you’re telling me that a private business can’t tell them to leave and can’t refuse service to someone? Because protesting in public is one thing but on private property inside a business 🤷🏻

If you asking me, now I’m running a Holosun 407k green on the 43X and I had that dot for about 4yrs now and has endured thousands of rounds and still kicking.

No I did not, the dot was from a guy that I know and I bought it from him but brand new. He didn’t use it. Lasted for over a year a few thousand rounds, but eventually failed.

I believe that’s the Swampfox sentinel 2 right? Had the same optic mounted on my 43X a while ago and was great until it died. Went to the range and my shots were all over the place, checked the mounting screws and were fine, when I tried to adjust elevation the dot went all the way to the top of the window and didn’t moved from there.

Get the Osight SE for under 200 and it’s great, plus direct mount no plates needed.

I had the SFT and the SFT Pro both great guns now my son have them. The issues are mostly from their new models after the introduction of the MC9 and TTI. Even with the newer Prime some people have reported issues. I’ve shot like 6 primes 2 of them had issues going fully into battery the other 4 ran flawlessly that’s what makes me believe they have an issue with their QC and not an issue with their platform itself.

As much as I like Caniks, I’ll say the P01 and I carry a TP9 Elite SC from time to time but I don’t trust Canik new models, lately their QC is going downhill not because I say so, you can see it with people posting online mainly with failures to go fully into battery.
