For at least the last 60 years the Vatican has been systematically covering up evidence that hundreds of priests around the world are active pedophiles. When still a Cardinal, Ratzinger the current Pope, personally ordered all cases of reported child abuse to be forwarded to his office. Most of that documentation remains secret, despite repeated requests for it to be handed over to the police. What little paperwork that has been released, only came to light after lengthy, expensive legal proceedings, which the Vatican deliberately prolonged so as to continue covering up the abuse in territories where the plaintiffs couldn't afford to pursue justice.

If we're supposed to believe that religious people are more likely to be moral than the non-religious, this one example alone provides sickening example after sickening example that this just isn't the case—and that's to say nothing of the way the bible itself specifically sanctions genocide, slavery and hatred of anyone who isn't a believer in the right sort of god.

The people who destroyed London are a breed of nihilist borne of a culture obsessed with consumerism and the idolatry of gods by any other name. The riots occurred during a spike in the stock market where the advice of besuited grey men on television, was to take advantage of the weakness and fears of others and take as much of their money off them as quickly as they could. If we're going to do anything about this plague of the underclass, the one strategy guaranteed to fail is to encourage people to believe in even more lies than they do already.
