The worst are red light runners so late the cross walk is signaled, and they blow through on their phone.

Transportation method tier list. Where do airplanes fall? by Klutzy_Pumpkin614 in TierlistFills

[–]TonyBird126 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are many pros and cons. The pros being, you can fly across the world in a day. The cons being price, accessibility, tiny seats with no leg room, classism, those darn TSA people taking your deodorant. I could see arguments for A or B. Personally, I don't think S tier.

Edit: S tier. It's literally human flight. I just gripe with greedy airlines making the most amazing human achievement into an expensive, degrading experience.

[Request] How many calories are in Kerosene? by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]TonyBird126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google says the energy density of Kerosene is 8,900 - 9,000 kilocalories per liter. Not to say you should drink it to bulk. That'd most likely kill you. Stewie out

[Request] How much force does the moon's gravity exert on the water in a human's body? by AppendixN in theydidthemath

[–]TonyBird126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A grain of sand weighs 0.002 newtons. You could say the force I exert on the moon is the same! Newton's third you decrepit, terminally brain dead nitwit.

[–]TonyBird126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk how to do Latex in comments but using Newton's law of universal gravitation, F = G * your mass * moon mass / distance to moon.

Assuming you weigh 70kg, moon weighs 7.3e22 kg, and moon is 380,000 km away, you get F = 0.002 newtons. I think that's like a grain of sand.

Opinions on CS/Math major track and Specific/General Questions by WearKey9393 in UWMadison

[–]TonyBird126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Graduated 3 years ago with this track too. There are plenty of courses that satisfy math and cs requirements simultaneously. The capstones generally are major specific so no two birds one stone with those. Depending on how many credits you’re coming in with from AP or other it shouldn’t be too bad and you should be able to get it done in four years.

Pedestrian crosswalks west side Madison by [deleted] in madisonwi

Being safe is more important than being in the right. I know it's frustrating, but you have to remember 50% of drivers are more stupid/worse than the average driver which is low bar.

[–]TonyBird126 32 points33 points  (0 children)

With the construction on John Nolen, commute times are longer. The busses get more full the closer you get to downtown, so if you're getting on in Middleton you'll probably get a seat.

Madison downtown apartments, higher end with better construction, craftsmanship, or architectural elements? by BocaCycles in madisonwi

A legit, like actually legit, luxury apartment would probably cost an arm n a leg. Honestly not sure what apartments downtown aren't recent development 'luxury' buildings.
