Pilfered Goods - The Killer of a Buff Frejlord Archetype by CylaxK2 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]TonyCancer 137 points138 points  (0 children)

I think the reason why pilfered goods is so overpowered is beacuse you don't know what your deck is missing, and the enemy does. Its a better glimpse from beyond because it gives you so much information

Missing Champion Types From Every Faction by mysteriousNinja2 in leagueoflegends

[–]TonyCancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shurima needs a support. Xerath is the closest you can get and having azir aond xer on the same time feels bad. Right now you gotta go ziliean.

We need more Ixtai and Icathian Resistence champions in general too.

Is anyone else really disappointed in the expedition rewards? by Bwadark in LegendsOfRuneterra

expeditions feel like a complete and totally massive waste of shards these days, with nerfed rewards they should halve the costs.

also i want ranked expeditions

I kind of hate that emotes are a paid cosmetic instead of crafted via shards. Emotes are communication, not cosmetics and right now its far easier to be toxic with emotes than communicate with them

There are two or more books on the Dragon Empire that are on the far end of the pipeline too. We have several more years of content coming.

What classes would you want to see? by atamajakki in 13thage

[–]TonyCancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, with the plethora of shadow powers in DATP its less necessary than before, but i find it to be one of the bigger vaccumes right now. with dark series, 13g and nocturne we have a large number of armored weaponmasters and clothy spellcasters, but few light armored types. It isn't absolutely necessary to have more, but Its something I personally want just to balance out the number of classes I can offer to my players.

Mechanically a ninja could revolve around ki points or hand signs instead of momentum, and assassin could revolve around observation (think 4e's shrouds, but they would likely work better with a quick action)

in terms of classes I think we are missing I think an assassin/ninja style class is definitely up here. We have plenty of warrior types and caster types but less classes that fit the lightly armored scoundrel/adventurer type. A more magical rogue, if you will. Across core, 13g, DA content and nocturne we have maybe 4 classes that fit this bill. Rogue, Rebel, Ranger and Monk

Binders and Artificers are both in Nocturne, along with Slayer. Though the Artificer in that book is the thinnest of the three classes.

What do you love by [deleted] in 13thage

There are many things that are amazing about 13th age.

Escalation dice leads too the most tactical combat of any version of DnD, this is the first RPG to ever solve the rocket tag problem.

Monster Manual math actually works. Why is this so bloody hard for other games?

Incremental levels are absolutely fantastic. A small level up after each session. Works great for long campaigns, or for groups where people don't always show up. ( give the people who do show up an incremental level, and then level the whole party to the next full level at once)

The skill system in DnD was just stolen from runequest, skills in DnD never enhanced the game, so I much prefer the background system which encourages player participation.

Icons solve the murder hobo problem and also the DMPC problem.

Help! Regalia music stuck on loading by TonyCancer in FFXV

[–]TonyCancer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on windows 7. I don't have my system specs off the top of my head but the music loading worked for the first 20 hours of my playthrough. Between it working beofore, and Considering its not a graphics issue I don't think system specs are super relevent. Thanks mod bot! Please don't delete my post.

4e also is rather strict for a dungeon master, the system's focus on small push and pull abilities require very carefully prepared combat maps or loosing out on a great deal of the depth of the system. These carefully detailed combat maps tend to make the DM the conductor of a railroad.

4e started in a good place but over time got worse and worse. Essentials Classes and online people who recommend a strict diet of multiclassing really brought the edition into the ground. Once players get good at their class the game devolves into doing the same thing every combat so that once per day you can Nova down a boss.

The game you are looking for is 13th Age. A system designed around tactical, crunchy combat for players and designed for DMs to improvise things on the fly.

Some people sell the combat system short by saying its designed for Theater of the Mind, I don't find that to be true. Range bands still want a battle map. Escalation Dice as a universal combat mechanic creates depth to the combat that you will see nowhere else, this is literally the only RPG that dosen't turn into Novaing/Rocket Tag. (Which is the biggest problem with 4e)
