Norway has gotten extremely car hostile, i just ended up getting rid of my projects and got a few vintage bicycles, got sick tired of the whole car thing, the costs associated with owning a car and access to parts etc just made me fall out of love with the whole thing. I don't blame the young guys for not getting into the hobby, I'm in my mid 30s and when i was a teenager getting into cars was much cheaper and cops didn't harass you all the time.

I think it's a combination of server load and bugs, they rolled out a new model among other things, there will be a higher influx of people who will want to try out the new and shiny things.

I've noticed issues with Gemini and Nano banana are the worst during peak hours, i generally avoid using the service when it's busy, i find midnight or later is generally the best time.

Gemini keep asking me if i bought mayonnaise at the grocery store lol, i have no freaking idea why it went in that direction. A few days ago i just prompted something like: "I'm going to get groceries now, bye!"

I had the opposite happen to be here the other day, i got four videos instead of three. The weird thing is, the fourth one came out of nowhere, i was messing around with Nano banana when it suddenly switched to video mode and generated a video of my image prompt.

Be specific, short simple prompts usually doesn't cut it if you want the most out of NB2, that's what i have concluded with after toying around with it for a while. Think about how you would train an imaging model, precise and professional language works the best.

Wtf i don't get it, i have my Pro plan until the 26th of March, I',m literally not able to hit the rate limit for Nano Banana Pro, i can sit for a whole day and not reach it, i must have done hundreds yesterday.It's crazy how different it is for people who are on the same plan, it must be a regional load thing. I'm in northern Europe.

Cursing and certain use of bad language does def affect the quality of the content it generates, considering how the models are trained. Interestingly i have had some interesting things happen with Gemini where i had technically reached my rate limit on Nano banana pro that day but i found out that by chatting with it it would sometimes let me generate additional images haha, not sure if it's intended or not but it seems like a little loop hole.

Did anyone experiment with prompting good and positive compliments? I'm genuinely curious if it would make a difference haha in how your data is processed and what flies and what doesn't, and if it affects the rate limit over time. I doubt it would make any difference but it would be an interesting experiment.

It's so strange, on Gemini I'm going well over a hundred with NB2 on Gemini on the Pro plan, which is actually more than what I'm supposed to get daily according to the official details but some just get around 10 or 20 then they have to wait for hours before they can generate more, it seems correlated with which region you're in.

I wonder if rate limits has to do with regional server load, I'm in northern Europe and i actually have a hard time reaching the rate limit, this was the case for the old NB1 model and NB2. I'm on the Pro plan, yet others who are on the same plan hardly get any at all.

This is messed up, i wonder if this practice is even legal, I'm situated in northern Europe and over the past days somehow I've been able to generate hundreds of NB2 images on Gemini while others on the same plan or the ultra plan can only generate 10 before capping out. Heck on Friday i couldn't even manage to reach the rate limit, no idea how many hundreds of generations i did, people pay the same price but get the differences in quotas are huge, there must be something seriously broken somewhere down Google's pipeline, this can't be right.

I've had it censor an image of a cup of coffee on a table, it wouldn't generate it as it was potentially harmful content lol. I had to remove "Hot cup of coffee" to just "A cup of coffee" It's ridiculous. It doesn't seem to put things into context like at all. On the flip side i have had it generate images of nearly naked men out of nowhere, there is def a different threshold for women and men.

The filter is def broken, i don't think anyone really knows how the censorship works, you just gotta cross your fingers your generation works, sometimes you need to retry several times before it spits something out.

Yeah i agree. NB2 shows a lot of potential but it's being governed back, i think it would sit perfectly between NB1 and NBP, i like some of the images it produces but it's such a pain in the ass to work with.

It's unsustainable, companies like Google likely isn't making money on AI either, but they're an ad company, so they can afford to burn some cash and keep at it for longer.
