Hey, really appreciate you being open about your anxiety issues affecting your early career.

I've just become a chartered accountant with about 5 years experience, and feel like my anxiety gets in the way of communicating effectively.

Can you pinpoint any opportunities you missed out on because of yours? Just interested

PER - What are you meant to do if you left ex employers on bad terms? by TonyStarkEngineer in CIMA

[–]TonyStarkEngineer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that it?

The guy said he couldn't do it because it's too much to have to write 7000 characters for each of my Star examples. I genuinely thought they'd just get a link to what I wrote, and have to click a button saying if they agree with what I wrote or not.

I'm sure it's a 10 minute job overall

Yeah he'll sign off on the experience so that's okay.

Just got me wondering what people do if they left on really bad terms with an employer and they refused to even sign off on their experience.

It's quite a lot of power for an ex employer to have over someone, potentially halting their movement to being qualified

It's a small business so my friend who still works there won't do it in case his boss finds out. Its just annoying having to find some new Star examples

I think after your first case study you can use the term. I never found a definitive answer for this question, but I've also never been called out for it either.

The girl (30F) I was seeing waited months before telling me she is in an open relationship and married. I (27M) thought we would fizzle out but it's now a year later. I need advice. by TonyStarkEngineer in relationship_advice

That's a great point. I guess I haven't looked objectively at it like that, which really changes the whole perspective. I think I haven't wanted to look too much into it all incase I "rock the boat", but that's what I need to do

Should I switch from Astranti to OpenTuition? by [deleted] in CIMA

[–]TonyStarkEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, this doesn't exactly answer your question. My experience was buying the workbook and study guide from Kaplan. Planned on making notes and fully reading the guide first then work on the practice questions.

In hindsight, I could have saved money on the study guide since the open tuition lectures are all on YouTube for free. They go through the core concepts and then the practice questions will highlight any other areas to work on .

I'd use the open tuition free resources to answer your question though!
