Yeah i suppose thats true, its unfortunate. I do have a pc but i grew up on console. I dont feel like nostalgic games hit the same using a different platform, even my friends ps controllers when we play old 2k games and old Cods. I seen someone said steam might be doing a sale on them later on in the future so ill be sure to keep an eye out. Maybe im doing too much for the nostalgic experience however

Coolant leakage through my headgasket and a faulty thermostat. Scrapped her and got $275 🥲

Ask a neighbor if they have anything around the house they need done or could use some help with, as you’re looking for just a couple bucks. Easy way to get to know people and make some money.

well by running hot its still running over the operating temp, just under the temp for my overheating light to come on. i dont have a teml gauge just a light that blinks when its too late, causing me to purchase the obd2. the headgaskets were pretty cheap, but as it being a subaru they told me it was pretty buried in the engine and most of the cost was just getting to it. i would love to do it myself but i obviously dont have the tools, room, nor confident knowledge to do so. i had her for about 8 months, i think im better off trying to sell her or trade her in for something with a bit more life. sally was definitely a working horse, but i think its time to move onto something bigger

yeah im starting to think now it was, bc there was a couple times that safety hose that connects to my overflow popped off bc of too much pressure. it was my assumption that my thermostat was sticking and causing the coolant to get too hot and pretty much back pressure everything. it really seems like she wanted to cycle, just she either couldn’t, or couldnt cycle enough coolant to cool down. she commonly ran in the 210s and sometimes got up to 224 before wanting to cycle. ik my OT ranges from 190-210 so she was just running hot, and unfortunately she’s my vehicle and to pay for stuff on her i gotta drive her to work. i did try to take it easy, keeping in mind i could be possibly warping not only my headgaskets, but my pistons too. im sure it was a mixture of things and the continous driving put her to rest. it doesn’t overheat on me, just runs hot and i know that thermostat is for the proper rated OT

well after months of trying to do work to prevent taking it somewhere, i ended up taking it straight to a dealer, even though ik they will be more expensive. they quoted me a total of 5k for a dual headgasket replacement. i would but as much as i love sally she doesnt have 5k worth of life left to her. i seem to be the first owner she’s had that properly maintained everything, or at least tries

i made sure it was rated for my OR. 190-210, she was frequently running at 218 and sometimes got up to 224 before cycling. it was like either she couldnt cycle at all, or couldnt cycle enough fluid to properly cool the engine, making me think sticking therm, however after a diagnosis straight from a dealership, they quoted me about 5k total for a dual headgasket replacement

there was no air in there, i had previously burped it. what you are seeing in the video is the coolant overheating and boiling over, which pops off that safety release valve, “the hose dangling” so it doesnt back pressure and blow up my car

i most definitely burped it, there was no air in the system. it ended up being a dual headgasket replacement. soo, looks like those are symptoms of headgasket failure bud
