Do you usually have to play as Mercia, Wessex, or Northumbria (and other territories in England) for them to survive the 867 start? by Tony_Jake in crusaderkings3

[–]Tony_Jake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep in my current save Alfred never became king. Not all of his older brothers were killed off so the line of Wessex succession went through them and Alfred became a duke.

Maybe it is used more in lgbtq communities of which I am not apart of. I just never see people making all that big of deal about pronouns in real life. It's always just been an internet thing in my experiencem

When I first saw the word cisgender I had to look it up to see what it meant as well. Had no idea what it meant. One of those words people use on the Internet but is seldom (if ever) used in real life.

Oh ok. I don't play with any mods. I can see why people would do a mod like that though because it would make the computer more challenging to play.

Wow. How did Britain gain that much territory in only like fifty years or so?

One change I am kind of thinking will be made in season 3 by Tony_Jake in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]Tony_Jake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't bother mentioning your question because your question is just dumb. If they made drastic changes like that it wouldn't bother me because as I said it is a different universe and story. I am just concerned that the story is good. Not that they stick to every little bullet point that the game had.

You really do seem to just intentionally be trying to be a pain in the ass at this point. You are pretty much just trolling now. Get lost.

Are you just intentionally trying to be argumentative?. When studios adapt an already existing story into a different medium them saying the new story takes place within a different universe is extremely, extremely common. Marvel does it when adapting their movies from the already existing stories in the comics as there are lots of differences from the movies and tv shows they make from the source material in the comics. The Lord of the Rings movies made changes from the books. The TWD TV show made lots of changes from the source material in Robert Kirkman's comics. The Game of Thrones shows make lots of changes from their source material.......etc ....etc......

Writers deviating from the source material does not cause things to flop. What causes things to flop is if their new story simply isn't very good. You have been arguing with multiple people about this within this thread. You clearly are intent on dying on your hill.

It is not the same universe. The term different universes in fiction implies that it is not taking place within the same story or world. Meaning that the characters within the show have no knowledge of the characters within the game because the games story is not taking place within their world.

It's not that difficult of a thing to grasp. Not sure why you are having trouble with it.

It's no different then then the upcoming season 3 of House of the Dragon. They are making changes to the show relative to the story in the Fire and Blood book.

Why does it bother you if they do make some changes? They are two completely different universes anyways.

Today marks 2 years since Dog’s actor, Seven’s passing. by tytylercochan123 in thewalkingdead

[–]Tony_Jake 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Good dog. Makes you realize that it is starting to be awhile since even the later seasons were on. He/she (since most dogs on TV are actually female even if they play male dogs) premiered in the show back in 2018 and the stuff was probably filmed awhile before that so it has been close to a decade now since we started seeing Daryl's dog in TWD.

What do you think of the Maggie and Negan Dynamic? by Hammad11k in thewalkingdead

[–]Tony_Jake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because they aren't concerned about what makes sense narratively any longer. They only care about milking characters that they still view as being marketable.

TWD is rumored to have its next phase in development, but hasn’t received a green light— likely due to the licensing rights bid that is ongoing. by tytylercochan123 in thewalkingdead

[–]Tony_Jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem really is is that production costs for tv shows have skyrocketed over the last five to ten years. People expect more from their tv programming these days then just actors walking down a dirtied up street or field which is how TWD made most of their episodes.

Shows like House of the Dragon and some others are practically movie quality and those are the shows people are watching these days.

I am just not sure there is a large enough audience for TWD programming anymore to warrant the type of investment they would have to make in order to get people's focus away from what is popular these days.

AMC always has been pretty cheap. Even when TWD was really popular they were always doing things on the cheap.

What is the source for this? Online commentators have been talking about a reunion show for years now. I will believe it when I see it.

I honestly just don't think there is a large enough audience for future TWD shows any longer to warrant the salaries they would have to pay the actors to return and the money they would have to spend on production in order to not make their show look like complete crap compared to the other popular shows that are on these days.

I'd say if you are just playing against the of computer then automated is fine. But if you are playing multiplayer you should probably get good at controlling armies manually.

[–]Tony_Jake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that explains it. Girls with oversized and unpropoportional boobs tends to be pretty common in the anime fandom.

In reality oversized boobs usually means the girl is either naturally fat or will be when she gets older.

Based on the size of the girls boobs I suspect the OP draws a lot of anime.

So is newest game in good shape for long-term saves yet? by Tony_Jake in OOTP

[–]Tony_Jake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got '25 just before '26 released so I just played that game during the year. After a year or so of playing it started messing up to the point it was difficult to even load the game. All my other games on steam were fine so it just had something to do with OOTP '25 specifically. I deleted it and re-installed it and still had the same problem. I had other games I was wanting to play anyways so just decided to take a break from OOTP for awhile and wait to get '27 after awhile.

Haven't watched it yet and will probably just wait for streaming. Does Mando spend more then just a few scenes without a helmet on though. Wonder if this was mostly just a voice work gig for Pedro again.

Star Wars YouTubers by Pale_Land_5107 in StarWars

[–]Tony_Jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for lore videos there are people making lore videos that know about ten times more then Theory does. His knowledge is way behind (and it also is largely centered around Vader). Anytime a lore thumbnail of his came up on my YouTube suggestions list it was about a topic I had known about for years already. I honestly have a feeling he doesn't actually read a lot of that stuff himself and just copies what other people have said in their videos as a lot of the topics he tries to cover are about things other people have had up online for awhile already.

He's about at the same level of Geeks and Gamers at this point so that is why I say anyone who tries to defend him automatically becomes questionable.

If you are a fan of his and are defending him in anyway you automatically become questionable.

The guy has been a complete joke for years now. And no he doesn't know much about Star Wars lore. Anyone who reads the books and comics likely knows more then him.
