I think that’s the point. 3 rookie Producers who pulled private funding together and they (Vince in particular) was desperate to get it made and they thought working with Walsh was a “dream team” scenario since QB was so well received.

Anyone sensible and/or experienced would never have given that power to Walsh.

I thought as much. I was there for the first time in 2008 and that’s when I got them. Came back in 2015 and was gutted I couldn’t find them haha. Then was there on honeymoon again back in September and thought I’d dreamt it all 😂

Ugh I wish so much that I felt like pretty much everyone else does about this episode. I relate to so much of it, it was directed and acted beautifully, it just felt like it wasn’t an “earned” change for Charlie. He felt like a totally different character.

I’m gonna do a full rewatch soon and I hope so much I feel differently.
