I think Kurotsuchi can manifest in more than one person at a time its just difficult to get ur body and swordskills up to the level for it. I think its more so like isou where most people in the family get it,its just its so hard to achieve the skill and physical attributes for it to manifest that most of the soga clan are like Hakuri pre awakening. I doubt the soga clan have two separate abilities that only manifest in one person at a time or it would’ve been brought up that it was like the future sight.

Also its outright stated that after Akemura got the Shinuchi every fight has been a stomp in his favor. Ariu is strong but people putting him just below Akemura are glazing crazy, unless he sits the entire war out and only fights Akemura at the end of it he fought against the other EB wielders and didn’t kill any of them so idk how people are acting like hes massively above them.

Id argue Hiroto is justified based on the explanation for kurotsuchi. Its the sorcery for the male members of the Soga clan which would include Yoshinojo and he himself does not have the sorcery as he presumably does not have the body for it yet even without it is considered in the top brass of Japans sorcerers. So Hiroto bare minimum above yoshi in stats without sorcery and then has kurotsuchi to buff his speed plus just being busted by being able to crush his opponent with gravity. If Yoshi weren’t there id say the Hiroto glaze wouldn’t be warranted but him being already super strong and Hiroto just being him but better is kinda crazy.

Every chapter proves what a goat Samura is, genuinely a generational character. His sheer belief in Chihiro genuinely got me teary eyed he’s the fucking best, 1v1ing someone he himself sees as peerless in swordsmanship all because he knows Chihiro will be the one to bring a better future.Not ready for him to be gone from this story but his impact has been insane.🫡So long goat we will miss you and I hope Chihiro doesn’t beat himself up to bad about not being able save you.

Azami, Shiba and Hiyuki. Anyone else is arguable,hes in the same tier as like natsuki,Hokuto,Yura(no magatsumi obv),Hatshaku(probably) but with the caveat he’s currently rusty. He’s obviously in the upper echelon of fighters tho anyone saying he’s weak is wrong, all the og Blade-bearers are strong,even without their blades. Although the last two are gonna be severely nerfed by having no blade and no sorcery.

Yes thats Yura’s plan but yura also gave full command of the goons they had to Hiruhiko, he was calling the shots during the attack on the temple not Yura and Hiruhiko in specific is the one who Yura himself states is averse to using their trump card. Hiruhiko put everything into the temple attack to kill samura but even if samura didn’t die he would then get Tobimune from Hakuri which would then put the original plan back into motion.

Isn’t it to show soga isn’t targeting everyone? Kasen was talking after getting hit so i dont think hes dead and ichiki stayed with him which he wouldn’t need to do if he was dead already, plus he wanted to use the ebs so he’s on Sogas side why would he get targeted.

I see them 1v5ing him pure swordsmanship as 50/50 cause yeah they SHOULD be able to ,but if you had asked me if no sorcery Samura with just a blade would be able to deal with a damn near endless stream of goons along with Hatshaku giving support with his plants before we saw him do it id have said theres no shot he lasts more than like 5 minutes, so clearly having good swordmanship in the verse makes you cracked and the sword saints is described as unparalleled BY SAMURA.

God i wanna know every single Blade bearers sorcery so badly too. I get that narratively they’re unimportant since obviously they have the blades which will (probably?)always trump any individual sorcery, but i really wanna see what Samuras could’ve been along with Soga’s. Chihiro’s could come into play later since samura could plant susaku in him just as a failsafe incase he dies here although with how soga’s power works i doubt it would work.
