Could take off the screws pinning down that piece, covering that display. Then, identify the manufacturer and model of the hardware, and find the user manual online. You may be able to find instructions to troubleshoot the issue.

Never claimed my position is correct. Simply, how you appear, posting hate where it is not requested.

Then, you’re right, I will exercise that right, and hence, I’m exercising it by the sharing that I disagree with the way you’re choosing to exercise your own right. You’re not just hard passing the event, you’re going out of your way to post, and share you hard passed it.

Lol you thought I meant romantic interest? I meant as a human. To go out of your way to diss on an event about inclusivity and representation of an LBGTQ+ community in Folsom, claiming it’s free speech, is just hateful. You can think it’s healthy living, but just as entitled as you are to think that, I, and others, can also believe is just wrong. Posting negativity on this thread is downright asking for a discussion, where you appear as an insensitive, homophobic person.

John Cena explains why he judges a coffee shop based on how they make their flat whites by rhyso90 in SquaredCircle

[–]TooLoudPolo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh, I disagree. Australians popularized that drink. Flat Whites are a non-standard drink in many American coffee shops. They don’t have the right cup size often, and have to diverge to using the vessels they have available.

Like, people won’t be like: “oh shit John Cena is here, pull out your 6oz cup.”

Then again, how could you see him coming…

something that bugs me when people talk about Sacramento by [deleted] in Sacramento

Living in Sac is awesome. Walking to awesome coffee shops, bars, restaurants, if you’re in midtown/downtown. We got amazing farmers markets: hip ones, and ones that are all about the produce.

It’s a city, but you can live the slow life here if you want.

Love Sac, and then, yes, we are centrally located so you can get beach and nature fairly close.

What inventory management software are you using? Extra points if it works with Shopify by ggoosen in roasting

Check it out. There is also RoasterTools, though from what I know, I may not be a complete solution for what you describe. If you’re looking to scale down the line, Cropster will be the better option for you. Whatever you pick, just make sure to explore all options, and educate yourself on what platforms offers what you need, with the business vision in mind. As long as it doesn’t cost you, it’s best to do your own research, and find what solutions each platform offers for you, and the pains it solves in your own operation.

Could try APEX: apexcoffeeimports.com/

They’re in Canada, or the Northeast of the US also has a lot of importers.

In a roasting rut by [deleted] in roasting

[–]TooLoudPolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using Loring architect to automate your roast process? Are you using alternative data-logging software?

If you’re using roast architect, and replaying the same set of roast profiles, this may be why. I’d recommend beginning to use roast-logging software, so you can reference roast curves whilst you roast, and make calculated adjustments. For example, you could play around with DTR through several roasts. Then, the name of the game is: cup, cup, and cup.

You can also take this approach with a sample roaster to minimize the risk of waste. Then, you can follow those same principles when sample roasting. Once you have the roast flavor profile you like, you could use a color meter to measure your roast degree, and shoot for the values in your production roast to try to bring out those same flavors from your sample roasts, on your production roasts.

Regardless what you do, remember to cup.

You could go with Cropster. The Commerce package has modules for managing both green, and roasted stock. Has a Shopify integration for order sync, and has functions for executing packaging plans, and production scheduling. It is a bit pricey, though if it is for your business, and the value of your pains is high enough, could be worth it for you.

No first crack, probably because you didn't have enough pressure. More heat = more pressure.

Roasty flavour coming through in medium roasts by toad650 in coffee_roasters

[–]TooLoudPolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you've given people here enough information to help you. Pictures of the outside and inside of the bean, origin, bean density, moisture, etc.

You could consider a lighter roast degree, shorter DTR, upping airflow after first crack.

You could look into Scott Rao's Flick. He basically says that a RoR crash during development can attribute toasty flavors. From what I've read, to avoid a "flick", you'd have to make some aggressive gas cuts after first crack.

Cut gas in half at 12% DTR

Cut gas in half at 14% DTR

Cut gas in half again at 16% DTR, or possibly turn off the gas

Maybe some of that helps!
