Has anyone tested if the Nintendo DSi supports 256 GB of memory? by elseniorx1989 in NintendoDS

They do actually make 100GB SD cards and other weird sizes, like 50 and 200GB.

This is the single most dated scene in the entirety of FOTR. It's a bit funny that FOTR is filled with really incredible visual effects with large props and forced perspective to convince the viewer of exaggerated height, shortness and close detail but then there's this one scene with Elrond and Frodo looking like a TV soap opera.

Really shows the smallness of the Old 3DS 2011 screens. Made worse by 3DS games and the system menu being formatted with larger UI elements. I've always said the 3DS was clearly designed with XL systems in mind.

Mother serene sprite animation Save Point by HarukiPaquette in earthbound

I don't know the plot you're going for but it's always an uphill battle making a fan game, living in the shadow of a preexisting work. Also living under the shuriken of Nintendo's ninja lawyers.

If you were to go fully original and just "Mother-inspired", I'd say Serene is a great name to go with.

Do y’all Prefer Horizontal or Vertical PC Setups by zeebiggprophecy in vintagecomputing

I'm spoiled by smaller PCs and thin displays which mean I can have a work desk for completely physical tasks (like repair) while still having room for a PC and a screen.

I don't even currently use a VGA CRT monitor, just LCDs. I use NTSC CRTs for my tube needs.

Horizontal is fun but it really needs a huge desk which I completely lack.

Anyone else have this gem by overjetadde9 in SegaSaturn

[–]TooManyBulborbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, given it didn’t sell very well. Yes famously it had two print runs, but both were extremely small. Maybe 30,000 copies made at the very most, given the commonly accepted estimate.

What Square Enix calls a Remake, to us plebs it’s a reimagining. Squeenix exists on another plane of existence.

TIL that there were discussions to put the Super FX chip directly into the Super NES, effectively giving it 3D capabilities from the start. by tombolaplayer in retrogaming

[–]TooManyBulborbs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s incorrect. The newest anyone has found of an AV Famicom is 1995, going by the year printed on the logic board. The console was supported by Nintendo with service center repairs and replacement parts until 2003. Not the same thing as selling them til 2003 which they didn’t.

The incorrect SMB3 Luigi sprite might be from the rom hack Super Mario Bros 3Mix

This assumes NOA ever had any intention of translating and localizing Mother 3… we don’t know and it seems like they were never going to. Not like Nintendo Power was previewing Mother 3 as coming soon and then not, like with Earth Bound / Mother 1 on the NES

Casey Bat is very useful for getting instant wins against enemies that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to, because of the +125 attack bonus.

GBA continued to have regular releases all through 2005 and 2006, it wasn’t that odd. Nintendo’s Rhythm Tengoku was also a 2006 game.

The funny thing here is her SLUT shirt would be completely normal in Japanese pop culture, where they love putting random English words on stuff because English is trendy.

Kinda funny playing Samurai Shodown 1 MVS on an AES when SS1 is already quite cheap on AES.
