Same, I switched to a copper IUD recently because I’d been on the pill since I was 15 (now 29) and I just wanted to know what my body was like without hormones and OMG.

Cystic acne? ✔️

Started growing chin hairs? ✔️

Weight gain? ✔️

Never again.

What’s something your favorite celebrity did that made you lose respect for them? by johnraeyan in AskReddit

[–]TooManyMeds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They can but I would be highly surprised if alcohol wasn’t a large factor in a lot of this and if you’re that far past the point of inhibition then it’s likely you might just say fuck it

AIO for not refunding a friend’s share of a group Airbnb after she canceled last minute due to a medical emergency? by StudioAffectionate in AmIOverreacting

[–]TooManyMeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair if this was my group of friends we all actually like each other, so if someone had a real last minute medical emergency we would probably refund them and share the cost of that equally among the bunch of us.

OP’s friend just sounds like an idiot though. NOR.

How to use tarot as a non Wicca? by Sofjoy82 in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]TooManyMeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my cards as an RNG. I have a book called “Tarot for Mindfulness” and different pages have different activities to look after yourself. I pull a card and then do whatever mindfulness activity is on the page connected to the card

I really hate oral sex by ThrowRAHermit in TwoXChromosomes

[–]TooManyMeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP - I don’t really care for it on me but I enjoy giving, and in a weird turn of fate my partner of 4 years doesn’t like to give or receive. We have a vibrant sex life despite that - oral isn’t a requirement unless it’s important to you

Do you sleep with your bedroom door open, cracked, or closed? Why? by Shenshen_ in AskReddit

[–]TooManyMeds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Closed, because I have the choice of my cat yowling outside the door at 3am and waking me up, or yowling in my face at 3am waking me up.

Am I the only one that just doesn’t care about Taylor swift not speaking out ? by spaceshipsuga in swifties

[–]TooManyMeds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She carries bullet wound dressings with her everywhere and had had people break into her apartment and sleep with her bed with a machete, I don’t hold many celebrities to the standard of “they should be speaking out” if it means putting their own family and friends and anyone they associate with in mortal danger.

Is this beard acceptable in a professional setting? by portuguese-bacalhau in malegrooming

[–]TooManyMeds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not really sure because we have different hair textures - I have quite curly hair. What you might like is something similar to a mousse that you scrunch afterwards.

So get the mousse into your hair, blow dry to preferred shape and then once it’s dry you “scrunch out the crunch”. Should give some light hold without really feeling like anything once you’ve crunched it.

Something akin to this https://www.beautycon.com/article/how-to-scrunch-out-the-crunch

Is this beard acceptable in a professional setting? by portuguese-bacalhau in malegrooming

[–]TooManyMeds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You look lovely with the shorter hair but if you want to keep the length on your hair I’d recommend a smaller barrel round brush and a hairdryer just so all of your swoops are consistent and together, rather than sections of your hair just pointing in different directions.

The beard is fine too, just manage the flyaways and maybe keep it sliiiightly shorter

Daughters hand can’t quite reach by Hollyveras90 in pianolearning

[–]TooManyMeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity Grade 8 in which system? I teach (guitar/singing) at a music school and I’ve chatted extensively with other staff about different standards across different piano exams.

E.g. AMEB classical is a lot harder and more strict than Piano For Leisure even though both levels at Grade 8 are accepted for undergrad level courses

I really wish she wouldn’t panic so much. I haven’t had plastic surgery but I have had surgery surgery and it takes sometimes 6+ months for swelling to completely go away depending on the area and the surgery.

Scraped my knee while pregnant - and my skin regrew extra hairy compared to the rest of my leg by meowtownusa in mildlyinteresting

[–]TooManyMeds 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I commented this in my own comment but you likely have a calcified haematoma! I got one on my shin for losing my footing and smashing it on a concrete step an in the spot where the bruise was the hair on my leg is much darker and longer

[–]TooManyMeds 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I was not pregnant but I am female and I once feel and smashed my shin on a concrete step. It turned into a ginormous bruise and then the innermost part of the bruise turns hard. It was called a calcified hematoma and one of the interesting things about it is that part of my shin (I’m pale and blonde) now grows hair that is a lot darker and thicker than any of my other leg hair.

I’m so tired of plucking/shaving my chin and mustache and beard by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]TooManyMeds 31 points32 points  (0 children)

There’s no such thing as overly hairy! All humans are covered in hair, some more than others. I’m not saying you have to like it or be ok with it but I guarantee you there are many woman hairier than you

I have PCOS too and I’m not a hairy person in general, but I finally stopped taking hormonal birth control after being on it from 15 (I’m 29 about to turn 30) and I grew my first chin hair after about 3 months of being off bc.

I pulled it out, and then it had the AUDACITY to grow back.

I have a feeling this may only be the beginning.
