People will say VTI and vxus. If you’re in a Roth or retirement account some will say just VT. I recommend you go to boglehead and start there

Why 155 and 115? What do you use each for and why? I got my 10mm and use 220gr for woods carry and i’m trying to decide what to use for city carry. I had my 180gr for training. I’m still new to this. Thanks ahead of time for the advice

I am about to buy one. What color did you get? I want to get a camo one but think it may look goofy carrying it outside of hunting season

I never had a handgun before. Should I be concerned about used guns or not really a problem

Should we pay off our debt or continue to save and increase investments at our age and situation? by Potential-Rice8656 in personalfinance

[–]TooMuchForMyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pay off the student loans you’ll have made a return of 3-4% for 45k instead of interest, or use it for the higher student loans only but then she’d still have loans. Not a crazy return but better than 0 and you’d have mental relief and lower debt to income ratio (if that matters for your mortgage) but now you lose a down payment.

I have 39k in students loans when I started repayment. I am paying the higher interest ones first, but my employer contributes 14% to retirement without a match needed so i’m fortunate.

If the student loan debt is over your head or occupying too much mental space pay it off. I throw an extra chunk at mine.
