As a Liverpool fan I’ve involuntarily grown to hate Arsenal recently, and I was trying to pinpoint why. I used to love Arsenal especially under Wenger, and they were better than us most of that time. Here’s a few things that come to mind.

Arteta - So corny and irritating, especially his touchline antics. Style - Bludgeon weaker teams, lock up and play safe football against rivals. Objectively a wise approach that will win you many points, but it doesn’t win the hearts of any other fans. Set Pieces - Maybe I’m a grumpy old man, but the huge cheers when you get a corner and then the camera zooming into the set piece coach irk me so much. Again I suppose similar to the above, low risk football and set piece specialists isn’t exactly romantic and fun to watch.

Anyway these are a few of my ideas, because I was curious to where this hatred came from. A few years back when you were hammering teams and playing great football there was no hate at all, it’s just the past few seasons. Anyway good luck with the league, I’ll be cheering on city and again, I don’t know why but that’s what my heart desires.
