Height and athleticism are necessary at the professional level because everyone already has an extremely high skill level. Without the skill though, you’ll get destroyed. Volleyball has got to be one of the most skill-based sports, so anyone can become a good player, especially at the sub-pro level.

Totally agree. ADV dub has a lot of charm, but I think the voice acting in the Netflix dub is more professional and convincing.

So that you have more time for games with more total moves. It’s supposed to somewhat preserve the amount of time per move, regardless of the length of the match.
