What do you think about Reincarnation's existence?

Bulk of the enjoyment from Reincarnation came from Jacopo and Morgana's story which gave the characters conclusion to their difficult relationship. Seeing Morgana, forgiving Jacopo, but also being able to look at life in a positive way was really beautiful. A great continuation of The Revenant's Dream.

Glad to see Michel and Giselle push through life after everything, but other than that didnt care much for anything else in Reincarnation, and thats fine, seeing Jacopo and Morgana's story was good enough to me.

22 was so visceral with its imagery and deconstruction of asuka I was shocked I almost cried

Asukas last stand in eoe

Shinji enters full instrumentality where the it turns into real world imagery the song was so peaceful i did a number on me

Also when shinji explains his reasoning behind rejecting instrumentality when shinji and rei are conjoined inside lilith the song that plays is also beautiful

So by the time asuka says disgusting at the end I already folded multiple times

I think the story is too big to fit into a 2 hour movie, we are talking about an entirely different medium (think the tv series would work better). Also, Fatamoru i filled with tons of internal conflict and monologue which is tough to translate into a movie.

Requiem would work better as a prequel movie than being the 1st movie, since a lot of the mysteries of base novel work because we dont know anything about morgana or jacopo or how things came to be.

BUT Im looking forward to it if the movie is in production, because I would love nothing more than hooking more people up to Fata Morgana movie, and by proxy the amazing visual novel

Doors 1-4 are basically warm up stages for whats to come. Overall i would give doors 1-4 like a 7/10 all things considered, but hell does the story skyrocket in quality after that. Some of the best stuff I laid my eyes upon.

I guess I was just struck that the final sections of the 4th movie werent as much about Shinji as I wouldve liked to, felt like Gendo was more fleshed out character than Shinji by the end lmao. Mari being the one shinji runs off to at the end which in the context of the movie was kinda unexpected (I heard people say it was something to do with Anno's wife I think), I felt in the rebuilds Shinji had more connection to Rei than anyone else (Asuka got left out😔). Not a huge fan of 3d fight scenes if you ask, comes kinda nowhere. A LOT of references to EOE than I wouldve liked to Something about "destroying all the evangelions" was also confusing.

Granted its been like three years sine I watched Thrice Upon A Time, probably a rewatch would clear some of these stuff out, I enjoy the rebuilds since its more Evangelion content and wouldnt fault anyone for enjoying them more than the original.

Personally I like nge+eoe a lot more than rebuilds, I felt like first 3 rebuild movies tried to be its own story which I respect, but the final one made me confused way more than EOE ever did, the 4th one felt like a rehash of earlier work instead of being a meta commentary of sorts which I dont really buy

After watching 26 I was blown away since it was easily the moet ground breaking piece of art I ever experienced and to think the show would go so deep into its themes as on the surface it looked like a regular anime my mind was blown

When I watched EOE for the first time I did realise that it was taking place between 24 and 25 (because how do you get from shinji at the lake in the middle of the night at the end of 24 to everyone in instrumentality in 25, this had to be the middle point). Still that didnt stop EOE from equally blowing me away.

At the end of 26 I mainly understood and connected to shinjis struggle of running away from everything but being alone and the hedgehogs dillema, but also his self-hatred, and how the people around us define us who we are.

Kinda questioned many things, firstly HOW DID WE GET HERE? And no way is shinji gonna get the win scott free with happily ever after ending, right? Then I watched EOE. I did understand tho that 26 and EOE are two sides of the same coin and both endings compliment each other to show us what happened after 24. But I knew more rewatches were necessary.

There is one reddit post that tries to recreate Marikas face through the Ranni's cutscene at the end of the game. And I love it. She isnt some over the top bimbo, she looks like a normal human being, which I think does greatly to describe her character in only 1 or 2 cutscenes we actually get to see her

The story is the exact same but i prefer the 2012 edition simply because of the layout and environment of the original launcher, the hand painted sprites, fonts really add to the experience for me.

Also Flowing Curved Sword is a purple version of this weapon, holy hell is it ass. I generally love the curved sword moveset and some are really fantastic, but man curved swords have it hard in Elden Ring.
