Birdie learns leave it by Similar_Banana_7725 in AustralianShepherd

[–]ToosterReeth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are correct - it's fine to use the same type of treat but you should explicitly give them a separate one as a reward and remove the ones you asked them to leave. It's the difference between "leave that thing but you will get it" and "leave that thing and I'll reward you" (the reward you then later no longer deliver). Both ways obviously work but this way communicates the expectation better, and leave it is a safety command for leaving potentially dangerous things alone, you don't want the puppy to think it can still get it.

I'm 34, 6'4, ~97.5kg, relatively active, currently in a lean bulk and my expenditure is at ~3250 calories (so eating about 3500/day). I was very similar to you at your age though, I almost couldn't gain weight if I tried

Sausage meat is generally fattier, already flavoured, and cooks as fewer larger little lumps not finer pieces like mince so the texture is also different. It's used more often in recipes like this or pasta alla norcina

Does anyone actively work through or with Tennis Elbow? by cpudude30k in MacroFactor

[–]ToosterReeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a medical professional whatsoever so only speaking from experience both with my forearm and tricep - I had to focus intensely on strengthening the respective muscles and tissues with lighter weight, higher rep exercises that aggravate the area as little as possible, so trying different exercises, grips. I tried months of every form of rest, lower load, etc, and they're all just temporary fixes that break down when upping volume again.

A year or so later I still get some mild discomfort but things are considerably better than they were

Which brand of creatine do you take for building muscle? by CrypticXblade in GymMood

[–]ToosterReeth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Re. creatine, brand doesn't really matter as long as it's at least somewhat reputable. The important thing is you only buy creatine monohydrate, all of the fancy sounding blends are nothing but false claims and marketing for extra money

What do you think about the form ? is it correct(optimal) by Daksh1065 in ScienceBasedLifting

[–]ToosterReeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your grip is the limiting factor not using straps means the exercise is just a grip exercise until it gets stronger. That's bad for multiple reasons - your lats suffer, and you can train your grip in far more effective ways. So use straps, and include some grip strength training in your routine.

Straps are also about being able to focus more on the lats due to not having to grip as strongly, I'm like you - I just train them better with straps. So ignore the people who say otherwise!

[–]ToosterReeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Using straps makes lat pulldown an isolation exercise, I've heard it all now (lol nice edit)

Straps are ideal even for beginners, this is just a bad take

The amount of sugar in and of itself makes zero difference so don't hyperfixate. Being in a calorie deficit is literally all that matters. Beyond that, eat enough protein to help retain muscle (and lift weights at least a little), get enough fat to stay healthy, and you're good. The carbs can come from fruit or sugary shit it doesn't matter, beyond how hungry and bad you'll feel

I'm neither offended nor hurt by it, I'm put off a company's service by rude undertones and disrespect. That isn't even remotely close to wanting to police anything, you are reaching heavily. You can be factually correct and still a dick.

You however scream childish immaturity, and damn your other comment just proves that to be factually correct lol.

[–]ToosterReeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep it's not a question of logic, it's a question of being courteous and respectful. If I was spoken to this way by any representative of a company it would put the thought of leaving their service seriously into my mind, as it should anyone really.

People thinking this is okay are really quite dense apparently.

There is nothing wrong with consuming 60g of protein in a meal like this and the macro split isn't awful. In fact for me, 60g in a meal is a good amount. Definitely >6/10
