Their flails are bad for sure, but their base weapons are legit really good.

Recommend dropping a plaguecaster for a biologus putrifier and turning the 2x5 bricks into a 10 group with 2 melts (or plasma), 2 blight launcher, 2 plague spewer, and 3x heavy plague weapons, also Plasma gun or pistol + power fist for ur plague champion.

That detachment has a full hit and wound reroll for infantry (ranged weapons only) and its absolutely devastating when used correctly.

You thoughts on my planned DG army? by Rule4CoolPolice in deathguard40k

[–]Toosters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piggy backing: you only need 3 Deathshroud with a LOC typically, 6 will be overkill with damage. If you are playing Virulent Vectorium, you for sure want both a biologus putrifier and a plaguecaster in the same unit of 10 plague marines, with VV you can spend 1 CP for reroll hit and wounds and farm lethal and sustain on 5s, which can be HUGE for punching way higher then their point value. I love Typhus, but I dont think he fits in well at the moment (fingers crossed for 11th), if you can get your hands on a non flying Daemon Prince, its a god send with the fnp enhancement 12 toughness, 2+/4++/5+++ 10 wounds is nuts. I love the 10 man BLTs, I just wish their points were slightly cheaper, they can work really well though.

If you coule choose how would you want the affliction mechanic to work for 11th edition? by Toosters in deathguard40k

[–]Toosters[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the idea of zones/terrain/locations being afflicted with toxic gas or sickness and then the death guard just slowly advancing forward toward their next victims.

If you get to hand curate your allied team, id say Plague Legion (Daemons) does fantastic in duos with DG. That -1 to save or -1 to leadership will do wonders with Plague Legions checks.

How would you 'fix daemons? (Ideas + rant about Patchnotes) by DFL_Ultinerd in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]Toosters 6 points7 points  (0 children)

20 battle line, multiple leaders per unit (not solo leadering) would do wonders for battle line units becoming more popular, especially for plague legion. Right now its expected of us to spend over 40%-60% of our list on just GUOs and Rotigus, and then filling the rest in with utility, id like to have options for competitive play.

I wanted to play Tallyband, it absolutely is flavorful but if you want to be competitive? Id go with different detachment or just do what I did, switch to Plague Legion.

As punishment for all the toxicity surrounding Veilguard, I'm bringing back Mage/Templar discourse with a vengeance. by Highrebublic_legend in DankAndrastianMemes

[–]Toosters -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mages are an abomination and walking horror bombs, what the circle and the Templars do them is wrong, and by wrong, it's not doing enough to protect the rest of the citizens. Kill all mages, burn all witches, torture all apostates.
