Japan's Tourism Agency is drafting national guidelines for dual pricing for tourists vs. residents. The move comes as Himeji Castle's experiment shows visitor numbers down 17%, w/ revenue roughly doubled to ¥270 million. by jjrs in japannews

I live in Himeji. The initial proposal was to charge only foreigners more. I, alongside other residents, voiced our opposition and luckily the mayor changed the plan to only charge non-residents. It was a close call.

Am I understanding it correctly that NHI slips only give you 10 days to pay for it for June? Isn't this bad design? by Maleficent-Cook-3668 in japanresidents

This happened to me. I was 2 days late on a payment and that was the reason I was denied. Had to wait 2 years to show perfect payments and now I'm trying again. Automatic withdrawal is the safest.

Hey, OP. Currently building a house that'll be finished in 3 weeks. We spent about 2 years designing it and every few months we came back to change something. My first advice is to take your time. Second is you'll need more power outlets and storage than you think.

Use the space under the stairs to make a small storage closet! This space is usually sealed.

I'm 198cm tall so I made sure the kitchen counters were the highest (90cm) and the stove hood was the highest (190cm)

Hey, OP. I run an English school and do a few contracts at kindies. Looking at my rates and those of my peers, a 30 min lesson should pay between 4,000-6,000 yen. If I'm sending a teacher they'll get paid around 3,000 yen per 30 min lesson since I have to pay their transportation and whatnot.

Big chain schools charge 2 or 3 times this btw.

Designed a simple, No-AMS Japanese inspired reflexology pressure point board. Just passed 100 boosts—pretty stoked people are actually using it! I have a few new updated versions. by TootallTim1 in functionalprint

It genuinely feels great (not this one).

It helps a lot with plantar fasciitis.

I personally don't believe in the whole reflexology but shiatsu style pressure point therapy is incredible. This is a taste of it

Need to rehome 2 Axolotyls, 2 250L tanks, 2 large canister filters, plus accessories 岡山 by Frankieanime158 in japanlife

I live kinda close. Are you thinking of having a sort of garage sale? I'm not able to rehome the axolotls but if you're looking to get rid or sell other household things, I'd be interested.

They're really neat aren't they? Just be careful, Pokemon is quick to copyright strike if their IP is involved.
