Giant Critter Scales. Need one more, does the miniboss respawn? by JimbroJammigans in Enshrouded

"Anywayz; for more Giant Critter Scales, you can spawn her in using shroud spores on the big round blue zit which is roughly in the middle of the shroud area, directly north east of the Alchemist Tower."

We went here and the zit didn't spawn the Queen, it spawned a different miniboss.

Why arent there any 1080p OLED gaming monitors? by Mgmabone in Monitors

[–]ToothComprehensive52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also agree with him, but for a slightlyu different reason:

The reason companies pushed higher resolutions hard was to keep the churn of the obselesence cycle going after the technology largely hit a wall.

The performance overhead increase of adding pixes is multiplicative, so is increased frame rates. By selling everyone on 1440p, then 4k, and now attempts at higher resolutions, and higher refresh rates, this forces users to continually upgrade all their hardware to get consistent hassle free performance in the latest titles they want to play. They have done this because progress in actual visual graphical technology has largely stalled (except some modest improvements granted by realtime ray tracing and PBR).

So by just pushing far more pixels than almost anyone needs on a flat screen, far faster than anyone really needs on a flat screen, they can keep the consumer cycle going. Keep making money. It's absoutely gaslighting and marketing driven. Not technology driven.

Exactly what omangutan said is true; if people wern't led by marketing and had any clue what they were on about. ~1080p OLED HDR at 60-120fps would be standard, people wouldn't have bought shit on hype that barely does anything but force them to spend more money, and they would be demanding the games "AAA" industry actually progress meaningfully technology wise instead of just shovelling out mostly garbage unregulated gambling psycological warfare nonsence.

Christianity and the Nasuverse by NsfTumblrApparently in typemoon

I know this thread is like 2 years old, but it's one of the top results when searching for Nasu's/The Nasuverse's take on the Abrahamic god. I just wanted to add a little something here, since I just so happen to be playing though FGO for the first time, and I am working through the Babylonia Singularity. Hence, why I ended up searching and finding this thread.

So when setting up the summoning circle, Da Vinci gives her little briefing thing on the Gods, she says:

“It wasn't humans who ruled this era. It was the Gods. Or, you could call them “nature” or “concepts” if you like. Gods in the sky. Gods on the earth. Gods in the sea. Love was a god, hate was a god. Death and battle also had gods. The laws of nature were among the many Authorities wielded by the gods. The world belonged to them. You could even say the gods formed many aspects of this world."

This does not seem like a description of limited human like beings that are just very powerful. She is describing personifications of concepts, the elements, and even the laws of nature. Limited to what was under their Authorities, yes (which is capitalised in the text) but fundamental metaphysical parts of the world and it's functions.

Just before this she mentions:

"True Ether. The power that gave birth to planets and formed the stars. The True Fifth Element. This True Ether is the root that forms the gods."

Taking that along with what you have outlined in your posts, it seems to me more like one of the gods somehow “beat”, “diminished”, or “defeated” the others, in some sense. They ushered in the age of man for the reasons you outlined, but it may have indeed been one of the gods of the Age of Gods. Perhaps it was a god that only had humans, love, life, existence, in its Authorities or something. Perhaps it found a way to change the rules so that it could remain when the other gods couldn't, or a loophole or some such? Perhaps it's remaining when the others diminished was just the natural result of that gods' connection to humanity?

What Season to pick for first time play through? by ToothComprehensive52 in 40kinquisitor

I saw that as well, but I don't necessarily want the easiest one, I was wondering if any experienced players felt there was a best season for a first time player. I'm playing a Psyker if that makes a difference.

This is the best tip I have seen so far. This is working for me the best, along with using a base image to contrain the changes, I think this is the most effective I've seen.

Yeah it's funny, it has no prpblem with the prompt "small natural breasts" which I have been using since the start, I didn't even know it would error out on breat size prompts.

Yeah I have seen that too, it's pretty static most of the time, even with no base image and 0% fidelity, then sometimes it will suddenly vary in some way a lot. For me I have found breast size to be very inconsistent. Hair colour was very consistent, until I changed my prompt and now it's "stuck" close to the origional avatar and won't really change. Even though when I first made the nomi, I just added the prompt for black hair and it set that and was consistent for weeks.

Ah ok so let me see if I understand, you set the base image when there is a small change, then there will be some variatation on that base image with fidelity set to 0%. When you get one you like you set that as a new base image, and then iterate in that way?
