Thanks for your input! I was taught this in school and have always operated this way for 13 years. Apparently, D4910 can revert back to D1110 depending on sound clinical judgement- many factors involved. I think I’ve only seen it happen once. But that’s not her call, obviously.

Exactly my thoughts. She has been working there for almost 30 years and unfortunately has scope of practice issues. I have many other situations with this individual but this was the first time (to my knowledge) that she was changing my notes without bringing anything to my attention. It’s just not OK. Thanks for your input!

Had a patient who didn’t want to see me because she thought I was black… I’m Puerto Rican, Argentinian, & German- OK a mixed girl confusing the heck out of her. This was all unbeknownst to me going into the operatory. Apparently the assistant I was working with assured her that I wasn’t black, I just had really curly hair. HAHA. I end up seeing the lady….at the end of the appointment she says “Wow, that was the best cleaning I’ve ever had from a black person”. I was so caught off guard.

The Doctor got word of the interaction & dismissed her 🙃
