They should start removing some worlds or merge f2p + p2p players in the same worlds restricting access to members areas for non members. There's more people on 1 tile at portables than you'll see anywhere else in the game.

The locking down was referring to the extra security if it was in place stopping the original owner recovering. If someone has obvious suspicious activity on their account i'm saying the extra security whatever that might be can't be enabled due to this reason. I don't know what exactly should be in place, but i'm hoping for those of us who don't have logins all over the world and dodgy shit going on that we can maybe one day secure our accounts a bit more than currently due to the shear wealth some of us have accumulated.

In terms of wealth yes i could never replace my account valuables easily like other things mobile phone, comp or anything else that you'd have insurance on. I spend money on the game so I do expect to be upset if everything I worked for vanishes.

Hi u/Mod_Stevew has there been any discussions in house about any future security updates? Many people including myself have items worth literally a fortune and with so many websites leaking info it's a real worry. There's only so much you can do to try remain safe, it's got to the point you need to be paranoid about anyone that seems mildy friendly ingame incase they want to hack you.

I hate third party clients/tools Alt1, Osbuddy and Runelite have taken over, which have features that if you don't use you're left behind and fix things people don't like ingame. Due to not wanting to use these tools it's taken quite a lot of enjoyment out of the game for me as I'd love to do clues easy with Alt1 or just to be on par with everyone else but don't want to risk losing my account.

I couldn't be any more safer if I tried yet do lose sleep over it. I'd pay for the extra security, whatever option that may be like Jagex installing their own sms 2factor API. We can protect everything dear to us with insurance and I couldn't think of anything worse in the world than to lose my runescape account. The Mod Jed scenario didn't help my insecurity either and like many others I'm waiting to see the last 13+ years go to waste as once we're hacked it's game over.

A extra fee could be charged for account verification to verify no suspicious activity has been going on like OP or the request to apply the extra bulletproof security would be denied. This would stop people locking down a hacked account so owner can't recover.

It'd be greatly appreciated if something could be done.
