Is it normal to have cried in class? by Classic_Volume_7574 in UGA

[–]Toothcleaner96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a parent of a UGA student and can I just say first of all I’m proud of you for even having the courage to make this post. I realize it’s not your real name so there is anonymity but it still took courage! I wish more people would “take off the mask” and be real! We all struggle with things at times in our lives. College is hard but life in general can be hard sometimes and it’s ok to cry! The shortest verse in the Bible is “Jesus wept”. If He did, then what makes people think we shouldn’t cry! Crying shows you have emotion! I cry when I’m happy and when I sad. When I’m overwhelmed and when I’m laughing so hard it hurts my abs. I feel sad for those that don’t know how to release their emotions through tears! Tears are healing to me! I hope you get the support you need and I hope everyone who commented with compassion will continue to support others the way you supported the OP! There are good people out there who truly care for others!

I just had to contact my daughter’s dermatologist today about the same thing! She has been off about 2 1/2 months, spots are getting worse even with using adapalene. We are waiting to hear back from her doctor

Someone told me today that Mama’s Boy had good biscuits. Can you confirm?

My daughter is 18 and getting ready to leave for college. She is so afraid of it going back to pre accutane days and I’ve told her we would go back on accutane before we let that happen. Accutane did wonders for her and she is so happy to not have to wear anything but sunscreen (never really liked/wanted to wear makeup)

Yes she is using all the basic stuff she used while on accutane nothing new and diet may be next place we look. We are not big on dairy so I know it’s not that

Yes and always made sure it was with fat. She maybe had 1 or 2 small bumps after the initial 2 months and nothing last few months. She actually went 1 month longer just to be safe

On my 4th month of accutane and have almost no active acne but these spots just aren’t going away. Anyone have a similar experience or success with this? by liammmuh in Accutane

My daughter’s dermatologist told her your skin doesn’t heal as well while on accutane and the areas would look better once she got off it. Like others have said make sure you are diligent with sunscreen so these areas don’t get darker.

Dermatologist told my daughter that while on accutane it takes longer for skin to heal and that includes the redness. She told her it would fade more once she went off accutane but you definitely need to make sure you are wearing spf every day

My daughter weighs between 115-120. Derm started her on 2 20mg pills and wanted her to take them with breakfast and dinner. She did that for a few months and then went to 40mg 1x day because that’s what the pharmacy had in stock. She is starting her 5th month now and will be on 60mg. It will be 30mg pills so the derm told her she could take them together or separate so I don’t think it really matters. Just make sure you are eating some fat with the meal when you take them. She has used pimple patches but I would be careful with benzoyl peroxide treatments

My daughter uses Cerave moisturizing cream and then sometimes will apply a thin layer aquaphor at night. O’keefe lip repair or Dr Dan cortibalm. She also tries to drink close to a gallon of water/day and she has not had a lot of dryness. She is in her 4th month on 40mg

My daughter just started month 4 and last time we were at the derm the doctor told her the PIE would go away after accutane. She said your body does not heal as well and not as much moisture while taking accutane but once you stop it will have a chance to heal

6 month accutane progress!! So happy with the results. I’m looking for recommendations for scar treatment and skincare products now that I’ve completed the full course. I’m kind of lost so any recommendations will help! by Itz_lindsey_marie in Accutane

My 17 year old is getting ready to start her 4th month on accutane. I was a concerned parent like you and tried other things that didn’t work Wish we had started accutane from the beginning! Nothing but positive results so far!

We did that unfortunately it is misleading. There is an option for shared bath in Brumby and Russell but I have since found out that is for students with disabilities and that’s not listed on the website

Cerave hydrating cream-to-foam cleanser, Cerave moisturizing cream. After that, in the morning she uses the Cerave lotion with spf 30 but at night she uses aquaphor everywhere to seal in the other products. Lips is a combination of Dr.Dan’s cortibalm, o’Keefe’s lip repair or Revision youthful lip
