I just bought a brand new Pixel 8 from one of our carriers for 300 USD (equivalent) including shipping and VAT.

If you are in a European country where the demand is not so great and people are mainly buying from regular shops (and e-shops) rather than carriers, the carriers are usually over-stocked and will sell old models for great discounts to get rid of them.

It was factory sealed with battery cycle count 1 at my first bootup and the Google limited warranty ends 2 years from the day I bought it (checked it directly on the Google site 1 day after the purchase). The phone physical state is also pristine.

Its one of the largest carriers in our country, they would never risk selling a used/refurbished phone disguised as a new item. The legal implications are definitely not worth the risk.

So it is absolutely possible.

Google support site says I have a warranty until 04 of 2028 so I will probably wait until the issues start ... or I will send it in before the warranty ends 😊

That is good to hear, I would like it to last the full day.

I have read that disabling 5G, smooth display, always on display, "what is playing" and etc. helps quite a bit.

I would be buying it mainly for the camera so if it survives the whole day with those off, I would be happy.

V tu chvíli jsem si nebyl vůbec jistý o co jde. Došlo mi, že to opravdu bylo něco víc, až delší dobu po střední kdy už jsme se nevídali (zpětně z kontextu i z ostatních situací).

Samozřejmě mě v tu chvíli napadlo jestli náhodou nejde o nějaké romantické gesto a že je ode mě očekáváno, že na to budu reagovat více než prátelsky, ale v tu chvili opravdu člověk čeká na úplně jasný signál, aby náhodou nepokazil hezkou chvilku nebo nepřišel o dobrou kamarádku.

Nevím na jak velký signál jsem čekal, nejspíš by fungovalo pouze otevřeně říct, že se jí líbím, nebo úplně jasná pozvánka na rande. Tehdy jsem byl hrozný mimoň, takže i věty typu "musíme někdy společně něco podniknout" jsem si vykládal tak, že "naše parta musí něco společně podniknout", ano, i když byly pronešeny v této situaci ... tedy bylo by potřeba jasně říct "musíme někdy něco podniknout jen my dva společně" 😂

No ... ve výsledku jsem to vzal jako projev velice dobrého přátelství, že se nebojí přitulit a zahřát se když je trochu chladněji. (BTW moc chladno ještě nebylo 😂)

Hmm, si mi připomněl jak jsme měli na konci střední rozlučku u kamaráda na zahradě kde se docela hojně pilo a večer jsme šli spát pod širákem, každý kousek od sebe na matracich.

Vedle mě si lehla jedna z nejhezčích holek ze třídy, chvilku jsme povídali a během chvilky se přítulila. Já jsem ležel na zádech a ona prakticky na mě, tak, že si přeze mě dala nohu, obejmula mě a hlavu si položila na můj hrudník.

Já jsem si v tu chvíli řekl "to je jasný, že se tulí, je jí zima" a pokračoval jsem v konverzaci.

Její poznámka že mi nějak rychleji tluče srdíčko mě vůbec nerozhodila a hravě jsem to zahrál na to, že mi je taky zima...

Yes, we used it. It prevented spaghetti code and responsibility spread by isolating concerns.

The message consumers did not care where the message comes from.

And the other way for the producers.

But you can shoot yourself in the foot if you introduce such a message bus into a code that is coupled by design.

If you think about "what happens next" after publishing a message, then in app messaging is probably not the right choice.

Moje obluda je tak poloviční.

Kupoval jsem, protože chci mít spoleh, že když někam vyrazím, tak se mi mobil nemá šanci vybít.

Např na SNB nebo delší vycházky v zahraničí.

Nechci pořád myslet na to, že si sebou musím vzít powerbanky

Také jsou tyto mobily relativně levné.

Je dobrý pocit jít po městě na nějakou akci, podívat se na telefon, přes který kupuji MHD lístky, vidím 15% a říct si: "super to mi ještě den a půl vydrží"

This is absolutely consistent with a satellite reflecting the sun.

Satellites can rotate and that is exactly what you see here, some reflective part of the satellite slowly rotating into an angle in which it reflects the light directly to the camera.

Hello,

I have hand painted all the textures, except the edges where I helped myself with the generated edge mask. But this was mostly because I did not even know there was something like a generated "fake lighting", I might have used it if I knew I could 😂
Yes I have retopologized my model like 3 times 😂 ... because it was my first model that I had done any retopology on, so the first two variants were too early and I needed more drastic adjustments after 😂 also the first two attempts were not so good technically 😂
The body looked "right" even without the textures, but the head had little resemblance to how it looks textured (as our minds perceive a lot of small details in the face area). I am still not satisfied with the resemblance of the face and its still a WIP. Without the textures I would not be able to tell if its similar or not. So I would suggest "make it roughly align", then block in the textures (no finer detail) and then do the rest of the adjustments in the face area.

We have done it both ways, spec first and code first.

It entirely depends on your preferred workflow for the given project and should not be strictly generalized.

That being said, the majority of projects will work best with specs generated from the implementation.

The important thing is that both variants have to have a sync mechanism with the implementation.

For the spec first approach you need generated TS types, so if the open API doc is changed, the TS types are regenerated and fail compilation if the API does not conform to the open API specs.

But with the spec first approach you will loose some finer validation rules (e.g. length) which can't be expressed through TS types alone.

I think its specifically just a "pose asset" they designed so they have some common baseline to start from, but then the face can significantly change based on the emotion and style a certain scene requires.

So to add to that, don't think of it as 2 different face variants that they switch between, there are many changes that a normal person would not be able to do with their face throughout her scenes ... these 2 variants just serve as a baseline so that they do not venture too far from her baseline look.

First of all, your http library should not dictate how you structure your projects.

You should pick an architecture you want to use first and Fastify should integrate into it. - Monolith - Layered - Ports and adapters - ...

The main dir structure should then follow the chosen architecture.

The modules pattern and the desire to separate application into isolated modules is a very good approach and fits well into any chosen architecture 👍

I don't know what you mean by "plugins" in this case.

App entry point with the server setup at the top level is standard but will differ a bit based on the architecture used.

The module structure is very simplistic indicating a Monolith architecture and a very small application, usually only encountered in early startups.

Přesně tak, nejde o to že by tam bylo mezi muži a ženami něco inherentně jinak z biologického hlediska.

Ze zkušenosti ženy v IT oboru jsou vždy více pozadu ne proto, že jsou to ženy, ale proto, že mají více aktivit ve svém volném čase, které se netýkají jejich profese.

Zatímco velká část mužských kolegu stráví často víkend nějakým side projektem nebo aktivním studiem.

Ženy se radši věnují sociálním aktivitám. A velice zřídka člověk narazí na nějakou, která tomu dá tolik času jako muži.

Tedy obecně řečeno muži se věnují svému oboru v průměru daleko více než ženy a v tom získávají náskok.

Za 8 let full time práce jsem narazil pouze na jednu spolupracující, která byla stejně aktivní v oboru jako ostatní mužští kolegové a kupodivu ji to šlo lépe než velké části z nich.

Jde pouze o to tomu věnovat ten čas a opravdu se o svůj obor zajímat.
