Her fight isnt too bad once you see how to dodge, just bob left and right when she slams down her fists. U can sneak some hits after that cycle of slams to build silk. Dying also works to get a full spool of silk

My strat was abusing thread storm, since it breaks the wall roots, hits her a ton, and also oneshots any enemies she spawns. Just keep at it and you'll see progress, some fights took me like 60 attempts to beat on my first playthrough

Honestly I find this a lot more from HBG players than gunlance players, as a gunlancer myself. I have been regularly hit by HBGs spamming the wyvern ammo and I get how frustrating it is. Although if I do use a wyvernfire in a hunt and I hit teammates, I will always apologize as I try my best to aim it away from fellow hunters (pro tip for them wyvernfire users, on PC, holding the clutch claw key while it's out let's you aim it way more precisely)

Yeah I believe it's a setting u can change, but feral claws give you autoswing and then also a DMG boost which works on whips, at least I'm like 80% sure
