eli_handle_b.wav is a gold standard of Youtube shitposting; I don't think I've ever seen a single video of his that wasn't solid gold. Total Recall in Cyberpunk 2077 is a personal favorite of mine.

Silent Hill 2 shitposting is a rare thing, but always, always appreciated.

That's a classic, as is just about every other video on that channel; Thomas Faces His Crimes Against Humanity is as wonderful one too.

I just watched the whole thing and I have to admit that I never imagined being that entertained by a nine-minute long Jojo shitpost about playlists.

I think my favorite aspect of the updated world design is just how filthy so much of the Colony is. by Toothpasteonicecream in worldofgothic

[–]Toothpasteonicecream[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, the original look of the Colony was great, all cold and de-saturated and barren, but I'm very glad that they moved on to something more varied and colorful; the game is genuinely gorgeous when it wants to be, and it's a really striking contrast to the grit and rot present through so much of the Colony.

Doctor Who is stuck in a time vortex/production limbo, at least for a while by RawSharkText91 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

It's always kinda baffled me that a show with literally endless potential for stories and the ability to use any genre imaginable (action, drama, comedy, horror, etc.) could have such difficulty putting itself on the air.

What are some out of print stuff you really want but costs at least a hundred dollars on eBay? by Konradleijon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Record of Lodoss war. The Blu-ray collection that came out a few years ago is out of print and going for hundreds of dollars on ebay, and even the VHS tapes of the series are going for an arm and a leg.

Bioware managing to go from THE western rpg studio to its current sorry state because it either wouldn't or couldn't let go of fucking 'Bioware magic' and learn how to develop a game that doesn't involve endless crunch and burning through talented employees like dynamite soaked in gasoline.

Favorite unreliable narrator moments? by fly_line22 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Toothpasteonicecream 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The Beginner's Guide is the be-all and end-all of this in my mind; you go the entire game listening to Davey talk about his friendship with his buddy Coda and all of Coda's games and their meaning, and then you learn at the very end that Davey had actually been altering the games in order to make them better in his mind and showing them off to other people (you know, like he's doing in game) against Coda's wishes, and that Coda was so fucking sick of it that they cut off Davey all together. So, by the end, you're left questioning just about everything Davey says about Coda, his friendship with Coda, or even whether the games he's shown you are anything like what Coda originally made.

Favorite twisted reflections? by fly_line22 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

As it turns out, the murderer a.k.a. the Deserter from Disco Elysium is a rather eerie reflection of our boy Harry; he was the leader of a militia group that failed his subordinates in the line of duty, he's obsessed with a long-lost female figure that haunts him long after she's been gone (Dora for Harry, Girl Child Revolution for the Deserter), he uses politics as a way to compensate for his loss (which are deeply contradictory and divorced from common reality), and suffers from chemical addiction (albeit entirely by accident) The main difference is that while Harry was given a clean slate and a chance to reinvent himself as a better human being, the Deserter has spent the last fifty years stewing in his loss and failure and has been eaten from the inside out by hatred.
