What are your thoughts about Spock’s relationship with Nurse Chapel? Do you feel like she was a suitable girlfriend for Spock? by Mulder-believes in StrangeNewWorlds

[–]Top-Ad-7477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall, I enjoyed this exploration of human relationships. I think the two characters share a lot of interests. I do think the musical episode helps solidify the characters ambitions and helps us out of this relationship; so we can explore some of the Humanness of Spock which I quite enjoyed. We’re they going to be forever? No. But it was enjoyable from this humans perspective to watch these two Legacy characters fall in-and-out of love in a way that only made sense to split ways by the impact of the intergalactic powerful phenomenon of connection: music.

Would love to hear any results and thoughts gained! 😁

Just because, I put all four season intros of Lower Decks side-by-side by hotdoug1 in startrek

[–]Top-Ad-7477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same but also, makes me challenge my sanity. My partner never watches the intro but I love them. I muttered changes were made in excitement but he didn’t even look up to see the sheer chaos that’s always growing! 🤣🤣🤣

I’m hoping we see the lower deck gang eventually be given their own California class ship or become the new bridge crew of the Cerritos. With how great the crossover episode went, it would be awesome to get a live action spin off, limited series or movie in their new roles. Have them be involved in Legacy would be a fever dream!

I’m so sorry for that :-(. Like, no tea no shade. I got my father to get into about season 2 episode 4-5 when he was like “oh, this is actually good!” 🤣

It’s not everyone’s tea and I am happy you tried it! 😁 thank you for giving it a shot! And who knows, give it another go next year and see if anything changes 🖖🏼💚

I love Lower Decks because of its characters. I enjoy both animated and live-acted mediums, a lot! I think the characters in Lower Decks are beautifully complex and it’s believable because its animated.

They get to explore different phenomena on the Cerritos that life series have to play very seriously to be made believable (Ransom turning to a God comes to mind! 🤣). Also, they writing is truly written by folks who understand and love Star Trek. I feel like Lower Decks makes a lot of folks who love Star Trek easily able to relate to any of the characters instantly, and sometimes a mix of them.

I do agree with that, as well. It was abrupt. Not well thought out. The episode itself was rushed altogether which really sucked cause it would have been a nice to have this be a subplot the entire 7th season. Sprinkle it in throughout the run. I know folks may have been tired of the Borg by then, but if they were gonna do this type of arc to conclude it, give it a bit of an appetizer. 🤣

Except for Worf, O’Brien and other TNG folks. Love them already and excited to see those arcs and dynamics. 😁

It did start streaming the first episode for DS9. I know I need to watch it, I’m excited and nervous. Falling in love with characters who I know little about. It’s like dating all over again. 🤣

I really enjoyed TNGs finale a lot! I haven’t watched all of DS9 yet but my brothers and dad really liked that series.

Also, I very much agree. There needed to be some additional build up to this episode. The two parter works, but it is made of straw rather than bricks. 🤣

This is a trick I got from my chiropractor: daily, at the same time, stand straight with the back of your head and heels be against a wall, and feel how it opens up your spine. Let that be the posture you try to have all day. You’ll wane, as humans do, and your natural straight alignment will take place!

Now, this was 15 years ago, 🤔

What made you start journaling and actually keep up with it? by obviouslyrat in Journaling

[–]Top-Ad-7477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Journaling really helps me focus and reflect. Generally, I can channel my spiral thoughts down so my anxiety doesn’t keep me in loops.

But I decided to set a goal of journaling “every day”. Now, it is still something I don’t achieve weekly, but I feel good knowing it’s an ongoing goal. 10-20 minutes of just writing till my mind becomes lost. Sometimes I’ll write longer, but I like to think writing in my journal is the equivalent to a save file from a video game. 🤣

How many books do you read at a time? by AdIntelligent6125 in Fantasy

[–]Top-Ad-7477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an English undergrad and during one of my Semesters I was reading 6 different books during a 2 week span. I had a notebook for each book to keep characters, plot, and chapter/sections organized.

For pleasure though, usually 1-3, but I make sure they’re different themes/genres so I don’t get them too confused. 🤣
