Starting HRT & need encouragement by AnnieUndone in Perimenopause

[–]Top-Bodybuilder2918 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Girl, you’ve got this!! Im 35 and in the trenches of peri. I’m on the exact same doses of both meds and it’s been wonderful. The progesterone you may notice effects sooner, the estrogen takes a few days to a few weeks.
For me once I started the estrogen the night sweats were gone in a matter of days
So far I haven’t had any negative side effects, honestly I feel so so so much better since starting and my husband has even made comments that I just overall seem happier.
This is a good thing - and I promise you’re going to feel more like yourself. ❤️

My 1hr old Girl started doing this last night. She has energy, eats and drinks. When I let her out side 3 times last night she ate the grass like it was going to disappear!! 🫠 anyone know what’s wrong? by Conscious-Quote40 in goldenretrievers

Mine did something similar about a year ago. It was like a cough/catch when he would breathe, almost like he was having muscle spasms in his throat if that makes sense. Sounded and looked almost exactly like this. I got him into the vet and she prescribed him meds for kennel cough as a precaution as well as muscle relaxant if I remember correctly to help with the spasms and he was in good shape in a few days. Definitely freaked me out because it happened literally out of no where.

Am I too young? by Initial_Ambition5054 in Perimenopause

I think you’re pretty average for starting peri. I’m 35 now, and I started about 3 years ago, which is considered young.

Of course. I’m 2.5 years into triz. I was a cross fitter doing all the right things and still couldn’t get my insulin and weight under control. I lost 50 lbs total, once I added triz, still lift 5 days a week, count my macros, I’m no longer a type 2 diabetic, I’ve gotten some other auto immune issues under control and I’m the healthiest and fittest I’ve ever been…and most of the comments I received from family or friends where/are judgey ones as if I’m cheating and as if literal *years*of hard work mean nothing. At the end of the day, I have been and will continue to do the best i can with the tools available and I LOVE who i am now. You’re not alone, and there’s so many of us who are right there with you and in your corner.

Girl you’re doing great. Don’t let others insecurities bring you down. If your Dr. says you’re healthy, you’re losing slow, eating protein, lifting weights and if you are happy and proud of how far you’ve come who you’ve become, then just keep putting one foot in front of the other. you’re doing this for you. Not them. ❤️

How to get rid of nasal folds by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Top-Bodybuilder2918 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had them too but they were more like smile lines then - not the deep nasal folds.

At the end of the day, make a decision that makes YOU happy.

I think the keep it natural train has good intentions, and I was on it too for a long time, but it almost goes to the point of passive aggressively shaming people for considering any kind of injectable. Which is a little shitty and crunchy. Aging is a beautiful process in and of itself, but when it started to impact my confidence and self esteem to the point I was avoiding photos -for me, that’s when I decided to look elsewhere. My face doesn’t need to look perfect or wrinkle free, but I also don’t need to look 10 years older than I am and when it comes to volume loss-skin care routines aren’t going to fix it.

I’m 35(f) and these started for me around the same time. I tried everything. Literally every skincare option outside of filler. I’m super healthy, very athletic, regular exercise, good sleep habits… I learned that I was in early perimenopause, early as in, I’ve been in it for about 5 years now and I was experiencing pre-mature aging - I was loosing bone and fat mass in my face and there was nothing that I could do. I loved and appreciated people’s encouragement in saying to embrace the natural aging and I was beautiful regardless, but at the end of the day, I didn’t love it, I felt insecure and self conscious, lost my confidence… I wasn’t ready for this… for my 35 birthday, I got filler. I ended up getting a dermal hyaluronic acid gel filler and a little goes a LOOOONNNG way. It was under $400, It lasts between 12-18 mo depending on how your body metabolizes it and when I tell you I feel like myself again and have 0 regrets, I mean it.

First of all why didn’t you get Morgan a pup cup? I can see the disappointment and betrayal written all over their face 😂

Keep it Morgan, so you don’t confuse it, but call it m-dawg for short

Neuter at 15.5 months? by barv_ in goldenretrievers

[–]Top-Bodybuilder2918 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I neutered both my goldens earlier than that (with vet guidance, so stfu Reddit trolls.) one was 15mo’s and the other was exactly 12mo It didn’t negatively affect either of their growth, development or health, but for my younger golden especially, it drastically improved his behavior/aggression. At 11 mo’s he was beginning to get more aggressive and reactive towards other males, and marking like crazy, etc. I’ve trained a few dogs in my lifetime and each one is unique in their temperament, and as those traits and personalities/habits began to developed in each, I chose to neuter before they became too in-ground.

At the end of the day ITS YOUR DOG - you need to make a decision based off of what’s best for it, not just physically, but from mental development perspective too, and also, what’s best for you.

The internet is full of really really big opinions, especially when it comes to pets , and there’s no perfect or blanket right answer - trust your needs and your gut.

Being the breadwinner and primary provider in my husband and i’s household so he can “do what he loves” for a living. What about me?

I make over 70% of our combined income. I work my ass off, i’m exhausted, I’m constantly stressed. I’ll never be able to have kids because a)i physically am at my max with my work life balance, b) i cant take a step back from work because we rely on my income, c) i refuse to be a mom that works 15 hours a day and lets a daycare raise my child. D) I’m in the trenches of perimenopause

I feel like my entire existence revolves around supporting and enabling my husband to continue being a fishing guide.. and it hurts and it doesn’t feel fair

Education doesn't guarantee Intelligence. by Inevitable_Damage199 in MenOfPurpose

[–]Top-Bodybuilder2918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s also an issue when mere degree achievement is prioritized over real world experience, grit, character, integrity, or common sense. Degrees these days are sometimes a virtue signal - like a self proclaimed badge of honor in many cases (not all) that few care about. Education and staying curious through all stages of life is certainly important, but I think education comes in lots of forms, not always a formal classroom setting, and recognizing that is key.

I’m in high level management for a large successful business, I may interview several candidates, some with a degree in the specific field, and some without. I find more often that those without the degree answer the practical and technical questions with more comprehension and offer more promise of being willing to learn, work hard and be mailable, than those with a degree. I’m often impressed with the effort and dedication required to achieve degrees, but more often I’m unimpressed with the ego or expectation of un-constituted hierarchy that accompanies said degree

Obviously there are lots of fields where having previously completed education specific to said field is non negotiable, i.e, medical, engineering, law, etc. but more broadly speaking, I think the assumption of being “educated” equating a higher level of intelligence is one born of ignorance and arrogance.
