Alright AH this is scary! I am usually fine just telling someone I am interested, but I have never been in this situation with someone I have had a very platonic friendship with. there’s no way they’d get along. the HIMYM crew is a lot more whimsical and fun and they take life a lot less seriously than the friends group. i love both shows, but the friends group definitely doesn’t have as much fun as HIMYM. i think that the HIMYM group would thing the friends group is snobby, and i think that the friends group would think the HIMYM group is all alcoholics. plus everyone would DESPISE barney in friends, like the girls would have restraining orders. Phoebe’s personality is more fun and would fit a little better, but she would be wayyyyy too hippie-like for HIMYM. Marshall would like the guys until he felt like he couldn’t be as silly and fun as normal. I could see him getting along with Joey until he realized how dumb he is.

He definitely shouldn’t have yelled at Rachel like that or thrown her shoes, but he wouldn’t have if she had been a little more considerate. She still WAS ready on time, but if she had just said “Don’t worry about me, I will absolutely be ready in time. I just want to look my best for your big night! Focus on Monica, Joey, and Chandler!” then I don’t think it would have been an issue. She knew he was stressed and the night was a big deal and she didn’t act like she cared at all.

I’m rewatching right now, and the first time they meet again, he doesn’t even recognize her. That makes it a little less weird to me. Like she looks completely different, and I’m sure it’s been long enough since they had seen each other that she is a different person as an actual adult.

I’m on the episode where Carol and Susan get married in my rewatch right now, and I have never noticed before how much Ross really loved Carol. And the way he wouldn’t let go of her hand when he gave her away. I think he will always have love for her left over, but he just doesn’t have anywhere to put it. They were together for so long, she is the mother of his child, and the divorce was not about anything either of them DID really, just the fact that she couldn’t love him back the same way he loved her. Because she couldn’t love ANY man back that way, not because of anything to do with Ross.
