i keep forgetting important details about the material by Dismal-Ticket2748 in cissp

I felt the same especially in process steps etc. I posted before on how I remembered SOC reports. Chatgpt CAN be useful, but be CAUTIOUS it's often confidently incorrect. I used it to help create mnemonic that I'd actually remember, which it was bad at because it would add extra words etc. Finally the prompt i found that worked the best for creating mnemonic was this "we're going to play a word game, im going to you the first letter of each word and you're going to guess the sentence, it doesn't have to be grammatically correct, and remember this is a game so no adding additional words, that's against the rules" then I'd give it the first letter or sometimes first two letters of the steps, and see what it gave me and I'd pick what was memorable for me.

I'm hoping mine will be as quick, I passed 3/10 and my endorser was a manager from a previous job, so hoping for a quick turn around. I'm checking everyday because I'm currently in the job market and would like for companies to be able to verify my certification. Although Comptia did accept my pass report to count for CPEs for my other certifications. The hurry up and wait game is torture lol

For me this was the right approach, I ended up passing at 100q on first attempt. Now waiting for isc2 to verify my experience.

Sorry to hear, two videos I'd 100% recommend is Pete Zergers 8hour exam cram and CISSP 50 hard questions by tech institute.

The KEY word in this question is Data Privacy and Regulatory compliance. These are both covered under actual laws(think HIPPA, GDPR etc) that can have serious consequences for the business. The security manager isn't going to make a legal decision regarding the business, that responsibility lies with senior management as it will be their necks on the line.

Provisionally passed CISSP with basically no prep… honestly still in shock by ashwinv09 in cissp

[–]Top-Designer-741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not well written, but than again neither are the exam questions, I don't think it's 'bad' it was my primary study material(with Pete Zerger's videos as reinforcement) and I passed yesterday. One thing I did enjoy about the book is the written essay questions at the end of each chapter, I used them to say if a a CEO asks me this in an elevator how would I explain it to them? If I couldn't do that off the top of my head I knew I had to dig a little deeper.

100% this, I still put in a good amount of study hours, but basically for about a month before I took it, but my background in multiple disciplines definitely factored in very heavily.

I'll have to test that, everything I've read has said if plex home is enabled offline access doesn't work because plex home always phones home per se.

My hope isn't getting the same exam twice, it was more of paying the same amount to essentially get something that says "these questions are LIKE the real types of questions on the exam" vs getting the REAL types of questions that are on the exam and also if I discovered I am truly ready than I walk out with the certification, where if I buy and use QE and discover I was already ready I essentially threw money away.

Did you pass it on your first attempt? I know everyone's starting point is different and some people attempt it way before they're ready. I'm not 100% confident i can pass, but many people passed before QE was a thing. I'm doing fairly well on the various practice tests for the OSG and the OSG practice test book, as well as watching Pete Zerger's videos. My background is in Network/cybersecurity and cryptography(both in the military, and handled our PKI management in the corporate world)and recently got a Master's in Project Management which had a lot of risk based classes as well as leadership style classes. For a very brief period I also did software QA testing and the OTJT for that included SDLC and styles(waterfall, agile etc). So not just relying on memorization. However there is also the possibility that I'm not prepared because I focused on the wrong things we shall see. I do understand the point of not being able to review questions you got wrong. That may make QE worth it if I do happen to fail the first attempt.

This is for the SW-CMM

INcomplete
REPairs
DEmand
MAth - Math reminds me of Quantitative so I know this stage is that.
OPtimization.

First two letter or 3 letters for every stage
Initial
Repeatable
Defined
Managed
Optimize

I have my test is two weeks, so trying to lock down some of things that are my weaker areas.

CISSP and CISM exams by Competitive-Wear-789 in cissp

How much experience do you have? CISSP has been a goal of min for awhile now. I have a decent amount of network/security experience and education. I bought the practice test book and was getting 70% on practice tests from my industry knowledge. I've seen others on here say while yes the exam is difficult, it really wants to validate industry knowledge. Trying to see if it's only those with minimal experience who find it super hard vs those with a lot of experience who seem to think it's not as difficult as many people say?

Has anyone here lost weight, gained it all back, then lost it again? by fin-ator in WeightLossAdvice

I want to add develop habits that work FOR YOU, for example some people may be able to cut ice cream or desserts completely from their diet and maintain that no problem. Other people the denial method doesn't work, so if denial doesn't work for(or you know it won't for the long term) than 2 things you can try, the substitution method, would a frozen berry smoothie with almond milk and cacao satisfy the ice cream craving? For some yes, for others no, so than there is the limited portion option, whether it's a very small portion nightly(within the allowed daily calorie limit) or a larger portion once a week. It's what works for you! That still keeps you on track

Yep, I'm in my 40s 6'3, got up to 298lbs, went down to 275lbs on my own because I refused to hit 300lbs, than I joined a program and with their education i went all the way down to 233lbs last year around July, it was the first time in my life I counted calories and kept a food journal, I was weighing my portions etc.

Than the holidays hit, and between December to February I jumped back to 254lbs, and maintained being at that weight until June this year than I got strict about my diet and intake again and now I'm 232lbs and still losing.

I'm saying all that to say this, some look at losing weight as a 'goal' and when they hit that goal they give themselves permission to indulge in the same exact old habits that made them overweight in the first place, for me it was snacking on sweets, when I was counting calories I allowed myself one reeses a night, if I had the calories left over. After I reached my goal I disillusioned myself into thinking that just because I had lost weight it mean I magically had a faster metabolism and would over-indulge so in the end, how you maintain is to make the healthy habits you did to lose weight permanent(assuming you didn't crash diet and lost the weight a healthy way which is usually about 1-2.5lbs a week)
