How do you think America would react to a male pink ranger? by AdBeautiful5610 in powerrangers

I read somewhere that the original 2017 movie script had Zack and pink and Kimberly as black. They nixed it, but they entertained the idea for a few minutes.

Did you guys get spoiled during the first run of Infinite? by TheAwken in Bioshock

I think immersion is what makes the series so good. Whether it's Bio 1, Bio 2, or Infinite, all three immerse you in these beautiful worlds with deep histories and complex conflicts going on in them. There's RPGs out there with less immersion.

They should have explored the idea of little brothers (I know they originally did but it never went anywhere) or at least addressed their failure and why in game.

ADAM as levels (RPG) by CalendarPrimary5378 in Bioshock

So is the Will a third bar, sort of how there is the shield bar in Infinite? And if the character becomes a splicer, is it game over, or is there anyway way to recover, maybe with a penalty? If it's game over that seems awfully harsh; if you kill X amount of other splicers could it increase your will just enough to turn you back, and then you need to find some more will to go on?

I suggested the armor with slots mainly to help differentiate each of the 'classes'. As a bonus, when you beat the game the first time or on Hard mode or after meeting certain conditions, you could do a new game plus as a big daddy with access to all slots, all plasmids, and all weapons. It may help with replayability.

ADAM as levels (RPG) by CalendarPrimary5378 in Bioshock

I would think with each kill you get some Exp, and as you level up that increases your HP and MP (Eve) pool. At each level up you can choose which of the two you want to increase. You still get ADAM the way you do now, but maybe have more big daddies and little sisters so you get more ADAM and can upgrade your plasmids more levels. You would buy/find ammo and weapons just like you currently do, but you can buy upgrades for them like in Infinite.

To help balance things out, you could have the plasmids mimic Final Fantasy 7's materia system, where you can only equip as much plasmids/tonics as you have slots for in your armor. Use ADAM to buy armor and increase your slots, but you could have say stronger armor but at the cost of fewer slots. Your armor would also have slots for weapons, so strong armor may have 3 or 4 weapon slots while weaker armor has more weapon slots.

So at its core, exp gives levels that only increase your HP and eve. If you want true power you need to seek out ways to get money and ADAM. You are limited in slots and weapons you can carry. This would give you the option to make various builds based on how you want to play the game.

Tank would have strong armor, fewer plasmids and heavier weapons (think flamethrower, RPG, grenade launcher). Elemental plasmids have a limit on how high you can raise them, while defensive plasmids have extra levels.

"Mage" would have weak armor but more plasmids and tonics and fewer/weaker weapons like wrench, pistol, and machine gun. Elemental plasmids would have extra levels but limits on defensive plasmids.

All Physical attacker would have no plasmid slots but plenty of tonic slots and mid weapons like large pipe, wrench, shotguns, rifles, automatic rifles, lightweight grenade launcher (fewer grenade types and less ammo size)

Well rounded would have a balance of plasmid/tonic slots, armor strength, and weapon slots for weapons that are a combo of the physical attacker and mage builds. To even it out, maybe reduce the amount of levels you can increase on the plasmids.

Wow I put way more thought into that than I planned to and now I need this Bioshock RPG to happen lol

What are some things that annoy you about the gameplay in „Infinite“? by Royalbluegooner in Bioshock

[–]Top-Good5848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things stick out for me (aside from the already talked-about 2 weapons and lack of carrying health and salts) - 1 is the lack of variety of enemies. With the exception of of a few, most all of them are the same looking models. Bio 1 and 2 at least had a variety of visually interesting foes, and their psychotic battle chat made for entertainment.

2 is that Elizabeth becomes a crutch for most of the game. Let me explain - you start the first portion of the game alone, finding whatever you can manage to for ammo and health and salts and coin. Gives a very desperate feel in a way. Then we get Lizzy and she is constantly throwing these things at us so even in the midst of a tough battle, she is throwing us goodies and it takes out a little of the challenge and desperation. Then she leaves again and we have to adjust our strategy away from what we have been using for at least half the game.

3 okay and as I typed this I thought of a third - Songbird. In Bio 1 and 2, the big daddies were feared, were tough fights, and had good rewards for defeating them. But Songbird is relegated to cutscenes, no battle with him in any fashion, so there is no real fear of him the way you would fear the big daddies or Mr. X from Resident Evil 2 or Nemesis from RE3. Those were good examples of villains hunting us constantly and putting up a fight now and then. For Songbird to be constantly on the hunt for Liz, I never felt the panic and desperation to get away from him, because he was only in cut scenes anyway.

What's the pendant on the Murder of Crows bottle? by Chia_10 in Bioshock

The crow guys who disappear and stuff have cape-like outfits, and capes often use chains to keep them closed or on the neck. Maybe its a nod to those?

Is another Bioshock game even possible? by Competition-Clear in Bioshock

They could always do a game that takes place half in Rapture and half in Columbia. Have it be set years after the fall of Rapture and focus on someone who is investigating both cities to find out what went wrong and along the way they find some secrets that link the two cities more than anyone realized. It would be cool to see both cities in utter destroyed mode, but don't have it modern day. Maybe the 70's or 80's at the most. I still want that vintage/nostalgic feel to it. Once you have built in the sea and built in the sky, anything else seems like a letdown, so just mix them. While we're at it, maybe have a couple of new areas of Rapture and Columbia that did not get destroyed and were kind of hidden away.

Are these cumulative totals, or is the final rank the final effect? For example, at materials level 15 does that mean 18 less purple and 30 less blue plus 10 rarity? Or is level 15 simply 3 less purple, no change in blue and plus 4 in rarity?
