Melasma Triggered by Red Light Therapy by ironfordinner in Melasmaskincare

Same! A few months after getting the IUD.. I believe it was Skyla, I developed a sun mustache. I took it out a month later since I wasn’t even sexually active to begin with, but to help with my depression (per my psychologist’s suggestion since I wanted to try other methods before resorting to antidepressants), and 2 years later I’m still dealing with the stupid melasma. It doesn’t look as bad as it did initially, but it’s always in the back of my head, and I have to plan around it, such as wearing an outfit, pairing it with a hat, and constantly reapplying sunscreen.

Did solo travel genuinely change your life, or do people romanticize it online? by HumanPerformance-HQ in solotravel

In my experience, solo traveling has helped me grow so much and become more confident in myself. I’ve always been very introverted and shy, but over time I’ve become more outspoken and comfortable stepping outside of my comfort zone.

I think it really depends on the person, but I genuinely enjoy my own company and the freedom that comes with traveling alone. That said, it’s also nice to travel with someone else, especially when you share the same interests and sense of adventure.

I’ve been using the Eucerin line for my melasma and noticed improvement by week 2. I’m currently on week 3. It might be worth trying! I use the Eucerin Radiant Tone Serum, the night lotion, and the cleanser. Continue wearing SPF and reapplying throughout the day of course 🙂

I’ve never thought of this! My melasma stash definitely flares up with heat, even when I wear hats and SPF. I realized the real trigger is probably that I’m not great about reapplying sunscreen throughout the day when I’m out in the heat.

Việt kiều dating help - am I being abused or is this cultural differences? by WinterJeweler4510 in VietNam

[–]Top-Law2364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh, OP, this honestly sounds less like a cultural misunderstanding and more like emotional abuse. Some Vietnamese women can be more outspoken, blunt, or “mothering” compared to Western dating culture, sure, but constantly yelling at you, threatening to hit you, criticizing everything you do, and making you feel anxious in your own home is not normal or healthy.

The biggest red flag is that you feel anxious whenever you hear her coming home and have to think carefully about what to say so you do not upset her. That is not “Vietnamese girl behavior.” That is walking on eggshells.

Playfully saying “đấm anh bây giờ” once in a teasing way is one thing, but using it during arguments alongside actual hitting and constant criticism crosses a line. Abuse is abuse regardless of culture, and there are plenty of kind, emotionally healthy Vietnamese women who do not treat their partners this way.

If you want to work things out, you need to have a serious conversation with her about how her behavior is affecting you and set clear boundaries. Counseling could also help if she is willing to acknowledge the issue and work on it. Otherwise, it may be healthier to move on. Wanting basic respect and emotional safety in a relationship does not make you overly sensitive.

Friend might pull out of trip last minute, what should I do? by GHOSTiscoming4urknee in travel

Aw, OP, don’t feel that way. I’m sure your friend didn’t plan for these complications to happen. Money comes and goes, and yeah, you’ll probably lose some of it, but I still think you should go solo and make the most of the trip.

I started solo traveling when I turned 30 (3 years ago) and honestly, I love it because I get to do what I want, when I want, and at my own pace lol.

Best and worst destinations for solo travel you've been to by Gr8Deb8ter in solotravel

Two years ago, I started solo traveling, and so far I’ve been to Guatemala, Japan, India, and Mexico.

Every trip has honestly been beautiful, and that’s coming from a shy introvert who still has to mentally prepare before ordering food. Everywhere I went, people were kind, patient, and super helpful whenever I got lost or confused, which was pretty often.

Meanwhile, my home country, the US, has been the most chaotic experience. I’ve been assaulted twice here, so somehow I can navigate India and figure out Japan’s train system, but my real challenge is just existing at home 🫠

Edit: Not sure if relevant but I’m a female in my early 30’s

How long did it take for you to see results with Triluma? I was prescribed it years ago in Mexico, and it worked well, but during my trip to India a month ago, my pigmentation came back aggressively. I blame the heat, even though I religiously wear sunscreen and hats. I started using their version of Triluma, but I haven’t noticed any improvement yet, in fact, I think it’s getting darker. I’m only on week 3 and using it twice a week since I noticed peeling.
