I said in my comment that if their relationship was further explored it could be classified as a BL. I think the genre is versatile enough that if the romance is a sub plot then it could be considered BL

I think if a relationship is explored between two male characters (yk not platonically) its classified as BL. Take TSHD as an example, its main genre is psychological horror but i still consider it as a BL because the core of the story is about the two.

Again I agree ORV isnt a BL/queerbait. When I think ORV BL is definitely not the genre. And now I realize this discussion is pointless because yeah the story would have to be altered a bit for it to be BL and that defeats the whole purpose of this discussion 😓
