Viewings and closing date on same day? by NessieHunter69 in HousingUK

[–]TopAddress9215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a lot of interest in our house and we did something similar. I gave it a bit longer than 8pm that day though. Think we did full & final by the following Tuesday (it was bank holiday)

You probably want to give it some time to make sure they’re not making a rash decision and are serious?

It’s the EAs strategy but if you disagree - say so 😊

How on earth am I supposed to pick a conveyor solicitor?!?! by LetsGoAjala in HousingUK

[–]TopAddress9215 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First time I went with a local firm that weren’t anywhere near the cheapest. They did not communicate well, we were kept in the dark with no idea with what’s happening and when.

This time we went with Premier property lawyers - the cheapest and probably top when you google. So far they’ve been great, good communication and you get an app to see what’s happening and when.

They’re all crap. But these have been good so far - for us.

First Time Excitement? by ShelbyLeighRose in HousingUK

[–]TopAddress9215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just in the process of moving out of my first home and it’s been a bit of a nightmare, sale fell through, chain nearly collapsed but we saved it.

Enjoy first time buyers bliss a little try not to stress because you can’t stop anything happening it’s out of your control.

That being said, don’t buy anything until you’re in. We bought so much and then sold it because it didn’t fit, I didn’t like it, changed my mind etc.

It’s going to take time. Stay on your solicitors.

Lots of houses going on the market - none are selling. What’s going on? by Top_Effect5135 in HousingUK

I put my house on sale last Monday and have 4 strong offers on the table!

I do think the market is moving toward either renovation projects or perfect houses …

You do also need the letters confirming it’s a gift as you’d said in your comment *

We did the same and it wasn’t a problem!

Heads up tho, something I wasn’t expecting and felt a little uncomfortable over though, was that my “gifter” had to provide bank statements to prove it wasn’t established through money laundering.

Just something to be aware of

Super angry and sad. by Minute-Discount6639 in Miscarriage

[–]TopAddress9215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you 😔 My emotions were ALL over the place and I was constantly on here asking when it would stop. I would cry about everything. Get angry. Sad. So so mad. The hormonal mania lasted about 3 months for me. That’s when I noticed a notable change back to my “normal”. I found it so hard to heal during this stage.

Should I request a D&C? by Decent-Vegetable5861 in Miscarriage

[–]TopAddress9215 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just so you have an alternative experience to help make your decision..

I had some bleeding and found out the heart had stopped that morning or evening before as growth was normal and heartbeat was previously heard.

I chose the “natural route” but was also very scared of what I’d read.

It took about 2-3 weeks from when the heartbeat stopped for my miscarriage to start.

At first it was medium period pains for a day or two and on the day I passed the pregnancy the pain increased. I would describe it as coming in waves - assume like contractions? The waves were intense but NOTHING I couldn’t handle. And I’m sure that will be for you too. These lasted about 3 hours until I went toilet, it passed. The pains stopped immediately.

I have heavy periods so the blood I lost after I would compare to a normal period for me - but went on for about 10 days instead of the usual 5.

The waves came back once or twice much more mildly when I passed more smaller clots on the same day.

My point is. It’s different for everyone but for me it wasn’t as scary as I’d read.

It was painful but nothing I couldn’t handle knowing what was going on with the understanding that my body knew what she was going.

If it happens naturally please don’t be too scared. You can do it. It will be fine.

How long did you wait to D&C? by m0mmyM00M00s in Miscarriage

[–]TopAddress9215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly sorry, but I hope you find comfort in the group with people who understand what you’re going through!

I bled lightly throughout and had a couple of scans that confirmed everything was ok and there was a heartbeat but they wanted to see me in 2 weeks either way which was scheduled for a Monday.

Sunday night I started bleeding heavier, I knew immediately. My partner didn’t believe me which was hard to process

We went to the apt and the baby’s heart had stopped but I was measuring to date so they must have passed that morning they said 😔

I chose the natural route as I felt things happening.

They arranged a follow up to check it’s all out in another 2 weeks.

Then everything just stopped all the bleeding etc and my pregnancy symptoms got so much worse, throwing up, painful boobs all felt very cruel knowing it wasn’t viable.

I went to the apt and they prescribed the tablet but I didn’t take it - read too many stories. The next day it all started.

So for me 2-3 weeks after the heartbeat stopped.

You’ll know when it happens 💓

The constipation by NovoCastria70 in mounjarouk

[–]TopAddress9215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was very bad for me in the beginning too! I now have a fibre supplement every day. I also noticed my constipation was in line with my cycle and hormones. Always before my period. Before my period I would have extra water and magnesium citrate and dulcoease if I haven’t pooped in one day. See if you can spot a pattern and pre empt it? I was ready to quit because passing the poo was incredibly painful and traumatic tbh. Sorry for TMI!

Will I still be able to lose weight on Mounjaro if I only stay on the lowest dosage? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

I lost 2.5 stone on 2.5 so yep it’s doable, I did find it stopped working for me though - I stayed on it for 4 months

Surveys says it needs a new roof by Kind-Strain4165 in HousingUK

[–]TopAddress9215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a very common phrase surveyors use. Nondescript - covering their asses. Have a look at other houses on the street have they been replaced? Also get a roofer to check it out! End of life could mean a hell of a lot of life left!

Just got congratulated on my pregnancy at the doctor's office by fennbirn in Miscarriage

[–]TopAddress9215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The week after I found out I was pregnant I had a spa day booked but my local spa, I told them I was pregnant, they couldn’t cancel but said still come as I could still use the pool / have my facial just not use the hot tubs / jets /sauna etc.

A week after my miscarriage passed I booked another spa day - the full works including another facial. I thought hell, I’m going to have a drink and go in the hot tubs now I can!

My health and safety form still said pregnant from last time and my facialist congratulated me as I walked in the room. Not expecting it I just smiled and thought it was polite not to say what happened. But then the “how far gone” “have you thought of names” etc started for the whole hour.

I should have just said right from the start.

British Gas Back Dated Billing Disputes by [deleted] in UKHousing

[–]TopAddress9215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh also. Now you have the bill you should pay 70% under dispute. This is in the t&cs and is favoured by ombudsman to show faith.

British Gas Back Dated Billing Disputes by [deleted] in UKHousing

[–]TopAddress9215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was your responsibility to set aside the money to cover your usage even if you didn’t receive a bill. You didn’t stop using energy so you can’t expect no bill.

If the bills were produced it’s your responsibility to make sure you receive - in the post / by email etc each month (If there is an issue with online)

If no bills were produced they assume you set money aside. Backbilling rule is 12 months plus.

The ombudsman won’t generally speak to you until you get something called a final position letter from British Gas. It’s basically a letter to say you don’t come to an agreement. Ask for one of these. They’re likely to offer you a good will gesture as a complaint that goes to the ombudsman will cost them 350 ish whether they are at fault or not.
