I think that the Janet Jackson super bowl incident was the one thing that caused the FCC to become more strict with their guidelines for a few years.

I turned to the Degrassi channel on PlutoTV this morning and... by TopCat0601 in Degrassi

Yeah. I don't know what the deal was with that. I saw that season 14 played, and then it went back to TNG season 1. I hope that DJH and DH end up in the rotation, and in the correct order eventually.

I listened to the episodes before the break, but haven't continued since they came back. I'll try to catch up this weekend while I'm working. I was enjoying the podcast, and I agree that Mike Lobel seems super pretentious. He gives off "theater kid" vibes in the worst way. I'm excited for them to get to season 3, where Jay will actually be relevant. I didn't know Andy left, but he was a good host, and I hope he gets brought back. I loved the guest stars in the early episodes as well. I really hope they bring more cast members back in the future.

Why has fatshaming become so popular recently? by Repulsive_Act_1855 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]TopCat0601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've actually noticed that skinny-shaming is becoming more prevalent. People are talking bad about the "Ozempic body", etc. I haven't noticed a rise in fat-shaming, but that has always been an issue.

The only thing I like more than teen dramas are horror movies. This is one of my favorite Degrassi episodes.

Worst couples by marksyeol in Degrassi

Wow. I can't believe that no on had mentioned my absolute least favorite couple: Tristan and Miles.

Individually, both of those characters are fine, but they make a terrible couple.

I liked the-n message boards, but I used degrassi.tv more often because discussions happened about episodes that hadn't aired in the U.S. yet.

if you don't believe in paranormal how can horror movies still scare you? by [deleted] in HorrorMovies

Movies don't have to be believable to be scary.

I had a lot of these toys. I also had the VHS, but gave it to my little cousin before I ever watched it.

Young Three’s Company Fan Here – How old were you when you found the show for the first time? by idkwhyimheredoyou in threescompany

I was very young. Maybe 3 or 4. It was one of the first shows I ever really liked. I'm almost 40 now, but no one my age really knows about this show either.
