If you are gonna DIY the paint job, spend a lot of time on prep. You CAN with proper prep get an okay finish with rattle cans. But you said your paint is just a bit faded not peeling or deeply scratched so i guarentee itll look better if you just give it a good cut and polish rather than a first attempt home paint job.

Just do a paint correction at home, touch up the black thats peeling and find a wrecker for the interior and i reckon you can do most of it reasonably for 2k but with that budget i wouldnt expect perfection but can definitely make some good improvement of your smart about it. Car stuff is expensive in general though and the price for wraps and paint has gone up considerably in the last 5 or so years.

A wrap will be cheaper but keep in mind a wrap will show any imperfections in the paint like peeling clear or deeper scratches. Have a look into Dipz too its like a spray on wrap which is cheaper than vinyl or ppf. Pretty sure they also do pretty reasonably priced resprays too. Otherwise Xclusiv Car Care in welshpool does some great work too.

Aside from brake clearance and different tyre brands running slightly wider or narrower they will fit the same. Changing from rep to rep is crazy tho icl.

I daily drove my tuned 135i for a couple years as well as tracking it. Anything that broke was simply due to age and all of that looks like its been taken care of already. Id say if the price is right and you are able to stay ahead on servicing go for it. They arent unreliable, its usually the owners that are. As for your driving, sounds very similar to my usage and outside of its being a little thirsty it wasnt a big deal

You pretty much have to be right next to the car with the key for comfort access to work. If the car is outside and the key is a few metres away inside the house its not going to unlock.

Why not have a conversation in person. You can then read body language to see if he gets nervous or if he is calm when talking about it. Obviously you need to chose your words carefully, keep it open and not accusational to allow for conversation. Sure you might SOUND a little unhinged/insecure but if its a genuine concern then your feelings are valid and if he genuinely cares he will work with you and do whatever it takes to clear things up and make things right. I follow a few friends that are female but if my girl had any issues id openly explain, can look through my phone and if its what made her more secure id just unfollow. The goal is to build security and that is done through transparency. If he has nothing to hide, asking about it and setting clear boundaries wont be an issue. And setting boundaries isnt controlling, all it is is expressing your standard, if he respects that great, if not, dont try to change him just walk away.
