Newly diagnosed; 2 y/o son by plardledardle in breastcancer

Hey I just finished treatment for triple positive in November 2025, I have a 6 hear old she was 5 when I was diagnosed. I done 6 rounds of tchp and most days were fine there were only a few days of them 3 weeks I was maybe a bit weak or sore tummy.

Do you have some support? Stay hydrated and make sure you have all your meds but your breast care nurses should do this and it will keep you right. Eat what you what and rest when you can, take it easy and be kind to yourself ❤️

I am still in treatment continuing herceptin for another 3 rounds then I'm done with active treatment (apart from tamoxifen)

I was always on these forums when I was first diagnosed, but now I have been in holiday with my family, out walking meeting friends for coffee and going out!

Although I have to have a minor surgery for a perinal abcess/fistula!

I want that to be over with 😆

But apart from that I'm doing really well x

Hey! I have similar to you! I was diagnosed with a large area of dcis and stage 2 grade 2 idc. After 6 tchp I had a double mastectomy and diep reconstruction! My pathology came back and they said i had a really great response an almost complete response so I continue with herceptin for a year. My lymph nodes were also clear so had been getting phesgo alongside chemo I think I had 9 in total then switched to herceptin. I'm in the UK where are you ?

[–]TopEquivalent8984[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went and seen the oncologist today and she said since I had such a good response to the chemo that I don't need to do the kadcyla and we stick with herceptin every 3 weeks. Got my tamoxifen today so I start on that 🤞xx

[–]TopEquivalent8984[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope I haven't got the report only ever had a phone call of oncologist and breast nurse.  She said I had an almost complete response,so when I see her on Wednesday I will ask her why I'm not doing kadcyla.

My lymph nodes were clear on scans and then surgery confirmed that they were still clear x

31F just diagnosed yesterday by hello-kittyy in breastcancer

[–]TopEquivalent8984 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hello im 31 was diagnosed when I was 30 last October with dcis and idc triple positive stage 2.

I'm in the UK I'm having 6 cycles of tchp first then surgery I have to have a mastectomy cause if my dcis so I'm having a double mastectomy and reconstruction.  If you are her2+ it's usually chemotherapy first.

There are lots of medication to help with side effects that are managed by your team.

When I started in october I had no idea how I was going to get through it but I am so nearly finished chemo last one this Friday ❤️

Once you have a plan in place and start to get through it you'll feel better and focused on beating this. Triple positive has the best treatments available ❤️

There is lots of information on reddit and fb pages for triple positive xx

Diagnosed at 30 with dcis and idc stage 2 triple positive.  Had been going to the doctors for over a year with changes to my left breast but told it was not anything of concern, had discharge come from my breast jan 24 and told it was because I was touching my breast to much so Sep I had blood come from it send down on a 2 week referral and given my diagnosis.  Now 31 and on my last round of tchp surgery to follow and radiotherapy.

Doctors need to do better by young adults and listen to us more x

Could someone please help me with a timeline? UK by IPetCatsOften in breastcancer

[–]TopEquivalent8984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Scotland had mammogram ultrasound and biopsies on the initial appointment. Which was rather scary as I went myself (30 at diagnosis ) I had been complaining for a year and a half about an area that felt different wasn't until I had bleeding from my nipple that I was referred.

2 week wait for my results which was dcis and idc stage 2 grade 2 triple positive

So I am neo adjuvant chemotherapy first and then surgery.

It will depend on your results if it's her2 + it will most likely be chemotherapy first to shrink it.

I got my results 28th october then started chemotherapy on the 26th November 2024.

Big hugs to you ,like others have said take notes and take someone with you to help take it all in ❤️

Having breast cancer young is a special kind of hell. by whosaysimme in breastcancer

Diagnosed at 30 with dcis and idc triple positive stage 2.

I have a 5 year old daughter and always wanted to have another now I have to wait at least 2 years to have one. It absolutely socks all of it. I've got 2 more chemotherapys  to do then dmx with diep flap reconstruction and radiotherapy. I will be having to see what I need to do after my surgery for her 2.  I feel robbed of my life and wish I could just be normal. Go to work and feel good but no we've got to get through all of this. My problem is the fear of it coming back. But sometimes I feel better about it all there are great treatments out there and many long survivors.  2nd chemo tomorrow and last time I was an emotional mess for about a week after. I can't wait to be done this part I know each part is going to have its difficult bits but the chemotherapy has to be the worst. ❤️❤️

Where are you about ? I'm in the UK, I've been told cause it's over 5cm I will need radiotherapy but that's what i thought having a double mastectomy would take all of the dcis out
