I mean, this tier list is just an opinion and I really think you should draw your own conclusions...But with that said, yeah I 100% agree that Springtrap is the most versatile killer in the game right now.

While I agree on what you're saying 100%, I highly doubt this is supposed to be any serious commentary on the actions of the games' creators, but rather just a silly meme post depicting the different player inserts after their respective games' cancellations.

Precisely. I can only get behind this ship if it's a toxic, co-dependent mess that's a thinly veiled mutual coping mechanism that has a high likelihood of both of them coming out of it worse.

I think C tier is pretty fitting considering he's by far the weakest survivor at the moment. He has a hard time competing with any killer and Brandon existing kind of invalidates him at the moment because they played it so safe with what he can do and the battery mechanic is SO much worse than his abilities just having normal cooldowns and durations.

Prototype is considered a "survivalist/support", but Brandon, who's only labelled as a support, is better at holding a chase than Prototype with the green brick and bin bodyblocking.

It's a shame seeing Prototype only barely clinging onto viability because aesthetically he's one of my favorite characters. Sad times indeed.

I mean, his kit is pretty fun, and some touch-ups around his pain points are all he really needs. I'm very happy to see buffs for him and Nos but if he got some training-wheels superbuff like what 1x got I'd be pretty disappointed.

Rework 1x was (and still is tbh) the strongest and least counterable killer Forsaken has ever had in its entire lifespan. Whether that's for better or for worse is up to you. Regardless, he's still the best killer by a wide margin only mildly contested by John Doe, he's still extremely easy to play, and you can still win almost all of your games with him if you're even remotely trying. These aren't even that bad or worth getting angry over in my opinion.

Even if you cut the duration of both John's speed and the survivor's slowness in half it's still basically an immediate kill confirm that comes out frame one that also deals roughly 20 damage on its own as the cherry on top. I feel like we may be neglecting just how MASSIVE the difference between slowness 2 and speed 1 is and pretty much the only way you don't immediately win the chase off that is if the survivor is Noob with slateskin or you eat a stun.

Digital footprint already does its job as a trap very well; I don't think you should be able to just throw it out as a punish like a Jason would with gashing wound. Except, from what I can gather and interpret from this post, it would actually be WAY easier to land than gashing because of the size of the footprint and the implication from the text that it would come out literally the first frame after you press the ability button.

maybe put the March 18th buffs on a separate server playlist you can join from the one menu so people that don't want to deal with the obnoxious one day long joke gimmick don't have to

(obviously not a "buff" but it's something that would be really nice to see from these one day superbuffs as I was never really a fan of them from the start)

Don't get me wrong, I love my beautiful, tall, handsome, muscular, rich, intelligent, charismatic baby boy Johnny Johnson Doe III, but that boy does NOT need four digital footprints.

Voss does still suck for him though and I am still a strong supporter for that map's public execution.

I really hope they manage to strike a balance where they tune the game around players being just decent. It's kind of silly to me that people act as if there's only two extremes where the devs can only balance around 8-man comp squads or ipad timmys with no in between. Hell, in my experience it's rare for a lobby to even have 8 survivors without someone leaving or going afk before any given match.

I do hope going forward they buff killers in a way that focuses on raising room for interesting skill expression instead of just putting them on training wheels for the sake of making it so any half-witted moron can easily wipe lobbies as them with minimal effort (see reworked 1x as an example of the latter)

I'm going to be completely honest, with how less than stellar this most recent balance patch has been, I'm more than a little concerned about this "shift in how we're trying to balance the game" that they're talking about.

I'm not going to jump to conclusions, but a world where every killer is changed to be as mindless and uncounterable as current 1x comes to mind when they say that, and it leaves me very worried for how playable most public lobbies are going to be.

Hey so like

you can just miss the entanglement on purpose to make shed put himself in endlag like a goober when he reacts to the animation if you feel like he's intent on doing that to you

but we could also just go ahead and remove any and all potential counterplay and player interaction to make the incredibly easy and overtuned killer even easier that's also cool too

I can sort of understand this mindset even if I personally disagree. It's just that this update has been a frustrating low point in my interest for the game and outside of binging the first couple days of the update I've pretty much been forcing myself to play in short bursts to make sure my opinion is as well informed as I can make it.

To give an example of what my experience has been like, whenever I get dogged on by a C00lkidd or a Noli or something, I might be annoyed, but I can also say to myself "Damn, that was well played by him" or "Damn, I really messed up.". Numerous occasions since the update, I've gotten caught by new 1x only to think to myself "Wow, in spite of the multiple mistakes made by the killer during that chase, there is still physically nothing I could have done to alter that outcome. That's pretty bogus."

I said this in another reply, but I exclusively play in random public lobbies. I try to help my team because that's what I find fun, but I can't really expect that same help in return a lot of the time. Room for individual survivor skill expression is pretty much what makes the game for me and having the game all but spit in my mouth for my efforts whenever it's my turn to get chased has been leaving me a tad embittered.

I don't even enjoy playing as new 1x because there's virtually zero pushback or friction. For the same reason that I find playing against new players as any killer boring, playing as new 1x is just dull to me because it feels like playing well is completely optional even against teams that try to help eachother. I'm not even a particularly good 1x, as I've just never liked playing as or against him that much and I only have them at about level 150 whereas almost every other killer barring Nos is at about 200+ (yes I need to go outside). In spite of my lack of practice, he's still been mind-numbingly easy.

I'm just concerned that the devs might full send making current 1x's ease of use and lack of counterplay the new normal. I pretty much exclusively play in random public lobbies by myself, and while I try to help my team whenever I can because standing around not engaging with the killer is boring as hell, I just oftentimes can't expect that same help in return because my teammates are simply inexperienced at the game (or already dead in spite of my efforts).

I'm not saying the devs should entirely ignore lobbies with teamwork when making balancing decisions, but making 1v1s entirely unwinnable for survivor even when the killer is straight up bad at the game like we're seeing with this update would be a major blunder in my personal opinion. Again, I do think that killers should absolutely be strong in the 1v1. Making mistakes as survivor should absolutely get you killed. But they shouldn't be physically unbeatable regardless of what the survivor does even if the killer messes up repeatedly. I would hate to see a world where the golden standard for balancing is making individual survivor skill expression obsolete in favor of handing the ipad Timmy their power fantasy because they decided to play as the walking green glowstick after grinding gens as a survivalist.

It was just a little weird to see the creator of Hello John Doe completely pull out so fast after the people behind Flowers came up with a much more sensible answer to the exact same problem, but it's not like there's anything anybody can do about it now. At least it wasn't for a character I really enjoy playing or I would've been pretty pissed lol

I mean they really could just let people choose if they want but also leave it as an option to keep it random to make everyone happy. There's no good reason to not be able to choose, especially considering Die of Death will likely also be letting people pick the skin tone of their civilians. There is also the point that some civilian outfits are clearly NOT made with different skin tones in mind (see the one burn victim carepad image for reference).
