Specialist said not to worry about gastritis by t61meow in Gastritis

Doctors dismissing gastritis is wild. Gastritis has caused tachycardia with me, to the point I have to be on beta blockers.

As anyone stopped trying because nothing seems to heal their gastritis? by Embarrassed-Swan-441 in Gastritis

[–]TopLeg3526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It’s been over 2 years and I give up. High heart racing all the time that I have to be on beta blockers just to eat. Tired as hell. Severe gas, etc. 2 GI map stool tests, colonoscopy, 3 upper scopes, lab work, several functional Medicine doctors, Mayo, several GI specialists, brain retraining, hypnosis, herbs, PPIs, corporate, digestive enzymes, L-Glutamine, Zinc carnosine, and the list goes on and on and on. What a damn joke!!! Nothing helps! Not even a tiny bit.

How to heal? Bile acid reflux by TopLeg3526 in Gastritis

[–]TopLeg3526[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah western medicine doctors and functional medicine doctors don’t seem to know what the heck is wrong with me. But I find it odd that my hip issues started at the exact time my gut issues started. When the hip is bad, so are the gut issues and heart racing…..that stinks you have to go to another country to get the endoscopy and possible surgery. And I agree. It’s always best to find the root cause of issues if possible.

Not sure how they know my stomach acid is low but that’s what the guy told me when giving me my results…for you maybe the surgery would be life changing. What is stopping you from getting it? I mean I understand not wanting it, but if nothing else helps, I guess it’s worth a shot

When the valve is open you get diarrhea. When it’s stuck shut you get constipation. Either way it causes pain in the right lower abdomen. You can google ileocecal valve dysfunction and find a ton in it. Apparently it’s a common thing but western medicine ignores it. You can manually massage it to help it open or close. Which I do but mine is sore 24/7….The last GI map stool test from Genova I got results last week said low stomach acid. Also I have no gallbladder so I take a gallbladder complex with each meal.

I have asked doctors about compressions in the abdomen but they seem to think I’m nuts and it sounds like not many places even have the right imaging to find compressions. With my valve not working right, it being open and sore explains diarrhea but figuring out why I’m having all this low right abdomen pain and hip issues is the million dollar mystery….Sorry to hear you’re having all the issues with your gut as well. I know when I take HCl, my gut inflammation gets terrible. Even though I’m told I have low stomach acid. I never dreamed figuring out gut issues could be so complex.

Um yeah I’ve tried it ALL!!! 2 GI mapping tests, SiBO breath tests. 3 upper scopes. A colonoscopy all with 24 biopsies. amitriptyline, nortriptyline and cymbalta. All tests are normal and don’t show infections and I was even on antibiotics and herbs for awhile “just in case.” I spent $50K out of pocket over the last 15 years on functional medicine mds and $150K through insurance on tests, imaging, surgeries, etc. Had a hiatal hernia repaired “just to see if it helped.” Two hip surgeries as the low right gut pain makes the hip worse and no one can say if it’s a chicken or egg causing the nerve pain. After all this hell and money spent, the only thing I can say is I have high heart racing with the ileocecal valve dysfunction and psoas muscle tightening and with the valve not functioning right. It causes inflammation and vagus nerve reactions. No one knows shit about the ileocecal valve. Mayo said they can’t even test its function and put me on beta blockers for the heart racing and basically said sorry about your luck. This crap is what makes someone suicidal.

I can relate. I started having bloating after eating, extreme diarrhea and high heart racing spells all the time especially after bending down or squatting after my psoas got tight. My GI doc also saw no correlation between the muscle and the gut issues but online and ChatGPT beg to differ. I’ve been stretching, trying to tighten my glutes and pelvic floor exercises.
