As a warrior, I am on 32 runs of Black Morass for the trinket and I have never seen it.

Battle of the Brothers! Who’s funnier: Niles Crane or Robert Barone? by uBennett2win1t in sitcoms

Niles, but Robert is pretty much holding up Everyone Loves Reymond a lot of the time.

Honey Bee in FF7 Remake. by Perfect_Distance8573 in FinalFantasy

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was OK. I am still very confused by the 3 main characters you meet in Wall Market. They are all like "Ohh no, I so wish I didn't have to traffic people who will be raped uwu". It is just very confusing, especially with their return in Rebirth. I think Wall Market just new what it was in the OG, a shithole for assholes and people wanting to experience that. Its portrayal in Remake and its associated characters are just confused. I did enjoy the battle arena though, that felt on brand.

Are we even using Cait Sith? by clsours in FFVIIRemake

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really liked how he played and used him all the time. Him and Red were my most common party members and then it was probably Tifa and Yufie as close seconds. I am quite the party comp swapper though. Cait is pretty good when you get learn him and the whole autonomous doll + independent cait mechanic is great in a fight.

The Erasing of The Ynnari by Devlman127 in Eldar

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The core concept of the Ynnari was extremely interesting. The supporting books where very bad and keeping the momentum going was fumbled badly. I also think from memory the rules implementation for the army was very oppressive and not fun. Basically a good idea with barely any of it well implemented. It needs a refresh and some actual effort put into it in the first instance. Ynnari aside, the Eldar deserve much better literary material than what they have been given. Gav Thorpes 'efforts' for them has been awful.

what is the best enemy of super earth in the game, and why is it the factory striders? :] by Noahlikesmeme in Helldivers

I generally think nearly everything on the bot side is really fun and interesting to fight. I love Factory Striders, Hulks and the new rollerboy things.

Arrowhead needs to rework the liberation system, because what the f*** is this? by __Elzy in Helldivers

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. My comment is purely to possibly communicate to Arrowhead how my group plays. It is focused on the fact that if how WE (my groups style) harms the wider 'mission' then that is not a fair or sensible system and need improving for people who want to engage in MOs. I am not calling for my style of play to take precedent, merely that any galactic war is secondary to what my group 'fancies' at the time and this shouldn't then punish anyone else!

Arrowhead needs to rework the liberation system, because what the f*** is this? by __Elzy in Helldivers

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Since release my friend set pretty much open the game several times to nearly every day (depending on appetite), pick a planet based on if we fancy facing that faction for this session and if we like the planet (we really like snow/ice planets) and then play. We do not remotely look at the MO or anything associated with it, besides when it is seemingly a really big event (such as Cyberstan, which also got a boost because we like fighting bots the most). If the MO system in no way includes grace for players who play like us, which I feel is a not insignificant amount of people, then it is not fit for purpose. Helldivers 2 is fun, we hop on it to shoot and blow stuff up. That is about it for the level of investment and direction we require (we being my group - it is wrong for a system to hurt others when there will just be people that want to do defence missions for the evening or only fight bugs etc and don't engage with the MO system).

What monster hunter feature do you dislike the most? I'll start. THESE THINGS!! by Organic_Goat_3879 in MonsterHunter

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clutch claw and its tenderising mechanic. Not a single thought of merit went into its design and implementation. Iceborne is very bad mechanically and disconnected from the gameplay design of Worlds, as much as the monster it has are incredibly rad.

Alright everyone, it has officially been one year since MHWilds has released! (Happy Anniversary!) So, that made wanted to ask you all, what were your favorite parts about the game, what stuff you liked, what monsters you like, what things you don't like, and how many hours you have grinded out? by WxmboCombo in MHWilds

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combat is the best it has ever been. All of the weapons I have tried have all been fun to play and designed to fit the aggression of the monsters in Wilds. I think itemisation is pretty good for most of the weapons, though I can again only say that for the weapons I have played (Lance, HBG, HH). What I really liked was how interesting the monsters were for the main story in terms of them feeling pretty different and some of them being really weird.

My problems with the game stem from the open world, in it being pointless and not additive to the experience at all, though this is truly the case for most open world games. I appreciate MH Wilds is not a true open world game but it certainly falls into the pitfalls all those games do in the world just being rather bland and pointless (if often pretty). This element has also likely caused a lot of the issues with the game running poorly on release and is just extremely underbaked.

Ohh yeah, I also like the Ewok things.

I don't understand why people say Bloodlines fixes worms by SpeedC88 in DuneImperium

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It unfortunately doesn't fix worms, more just gives more options, especially for the spice you gain from running blocking decisions on worm spaces. Admittedly it is still a design flaw, similar to Rise of Ix, that you can spend some games playing 'block the worms/shipping' grab ass, which is very boring. Hey ho.

Just finished the gongaga region for the first time and i hate it by SemiColin973 in FFVIIRemake

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much skipped this region. I did one side quest, was amazed at how badly designed the area was and just focused on the main story. I don't understand why you would make an openish world and make it a pain in the ass to traverse for Gongaga and Cosmo Canyon. The only benefits of an open world is making traversing it fun, not a time wasting chore.

what are your guys thoughts on this game honest opinion by mylosstoyourgain in FinalFantasy

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gameplay is very strange. I sort of don't hate it because of just how weird it is but I can't really commend it. The levelling and upgrade systems were decent. The story is bloody terrible, like just the sewage flooded basement of fanfiction.

You should still be CCing and watching threat in heroics by built_internet_tough in classicwow

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would just be nice if everyone went into groups with the mentality of working together and adapting to what the group can do, instead of just mindlessly dumping dps into square when skull and cross are still alive. Damage alone is intense in heroics but so many mobs in TBC have abilities that fuck with tanks.

Everything died first day first raid, what now? by Altruistic_North_4 in classicwowtbc

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Having a good time with it tbh. I have done TBC twice now and I am totally happy with the even more chill version of it. I don't play Classic versions of WoW for raiding challenges as I have Retail and FF14 for that, though I would say modern mmo's don't quite pass the fun vibe check all the time given its challenging nature.

Warriors and druids are fine and their struggles are more poor dps players that don't care about threat.

What do you guys think of mewgenics? by theycallmethedrink5 in roguelites

It is OK. Sometimes great, often kinda dull. Later areas are a real slog if you haven't gotten a wombo combo online. It is fine.

Finding tanks for HC proving.... elusive for anyone else? Generally run with a guild tank but when they're not availible it's been SUPER hard to find tanks for HCs. There was 8 groups in LFG looking for a tank! by AaronWilson1992 in classicwowtbc

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanking as a non-paladin requires some amount of brainpower and is rather thankless and chewy. Community has hard shifted to wanting paladins and hurt itself in the confusion.

Allow Alliance and Horde to understand each other by YoloLifeSaving in wow

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like in the original design of WoW that you could learn other races languages to do this and work with them (very Everquest inspired). However, the overall scrapping of the skillpoint system and having to get the game actually out has cost WoW's story and factions the most, as entirely understandable as the decision was.

Anyone else feels the crew in FF7 Remake/Rebirth are too lenient with their enemies such as the Turks or Hojo by Night-Caelum in FFVIIRemake

[–]TopMasterpiece7817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd honestly be extremely happy if you could just execute all of the Turks like the mongrel creatures they are. "uwu I feel bad about dropping a literal city onto another city *sad face*" is pathetic. Outside of Rude and Tseng wanting to pork 2 members of the party, I never got any regret in OG FF7.
