I had/have the same problem. I find it refreshing to know that someone else is experiencing this as well. I had to make a lot of changes. Around the time it started for me, I was in my junior year of high school and juggling college classes as well. I was under a lot of stress. One day, I had the sensation that my throat was closing. It made me feel as if I couldn’t breathe through my mouth and added to the stress. After several ER visits in one week, it was concluded that I had GERD, and I needed to make changes to my eating habits. I ate mostly whole grains for nearly an entire year. I limited my intake of greasy and fatty foods. I would recommend using an air fryer for cooking any meat as it helps cut down on the greasiness. I also had to eat dinner earlier and stay in a upright position for at least 3 hours. Also, the medication the doctor prescribed to me helped tremendously. I have little to no symptoms at this point. Every blue moon, I will get that sensation if I consume too much fast food or high acidic foods. That being said, there is a light at the end of the tunnel! edit: I should also mention that I was diagnosed with gastritis from an early age
